Jan–Feb 2026 were much cooler. I even remember asking for a fan regulator change because it was too cold to run the fan at full speed.

Then March–April got hot, and May–June got even hotter.

So obviously, our electricity usage went up. The March–April bill came in May, and the May–June bill came in July.

Higher usage = higher bill. It’s really that simple.

People should look at their actual usage before simply blaming the government.

இந்த காணொளியில் உள்ள மின் நுகர்வோர் தனக்கும் மற்ற பலருக்கும் அதிக மின் கட்டணம் வந்துள்ளதாக தெரிவித்துள்ளார். ஏற்கனவே, மின் வாரியம் மாநிலம் முழுவதும் உள்ள 3.74 லட்சம் மின் இணைப்புகளை சிறப்பு ஆய்வு செய்ய எடுத்துக் கொண்டது. இதில் நேற்று வரை 3.43 லட்சம் மின் இணைப்புகள் ஆய்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன. இதில் 0.75% மின் இணைப்புகளில் மட்டுமே வேறுபாடுகள் கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளன.

இந்த மின் நுகர்வோர் தனது மின் இணைப்பு எண்ணை தெரிவித்தால் மின்வாரியம் உடனடியாக அதை சிறப்பு ஆய்வு செய்ய எடுத்துக் கொள்ளும். மற்ற மின் நுகர்வோர்களும் தங்களது மின் கட்டணத்தில் ஏதேனும் சந்தேகம் இருந்தால் எங்களுக்கு மின்னகம் 9498794987 என்ற எண்ணிலோ அல்லது X வலைத்தளத்தின் மூலமாகவோ தெரிவித்தால் உடனடியாக சிறப்பு ஆய்வு செய்யப்படும்.

200 யூனிட் இலவச மின் திட்டத்தின் மூலம் 1 கோடியே 42 லட்சம் மின் நுகர்வோர்கள் பயனடைந்துள்ளனர். இந்தத் திட்டத்தினால் ஜூன் மாதத்தில் 59.31 லட்சம் மின் நுகர்வோர்களும், ஜூலை மாதத்தில் 60.92 லட்சம் மின் நுகர்வோர்களும் எந்தவித கட்டணமும் செலுத்தாமல் இலவசமாக மின் சேவையை பெற்று பயனடைந்துள்ளனர். மின் கட்டணத்திலும் எந்தவித மாற்றமும் செய்யப்படவில்லை. மின் கட்டணம் குறித்த வதந்திகளை நம்ப வேண்டாம் என்று கேட்டுக் கொள்ளப்படுகிறது.

இந்த வருடம் ஜூலை மாதம் வரை தொடர்ந்த கோடை வெயிலினால் மின் பயன்பாடு அதிகரித்ததே பெரும்பாலோருக்கு மின் கட்டணம் உயர்ந்ததற்கு மூல காரணமாகும்.

In the video the consumer has alleged that many including her have faced unwarranted higher electricity bills. TNEB has already taken up a special inspection drive of 3.74 lakh service connections and out of which 3.43 connections have been inspected so far. Out of the services inspected only 0.75% had errors.

Under the 200 units free scheme 1.42 crore consumers have benefited. Under the scheme in the month of June, 59.31 lakh consumers and in July 60.92 lakhs consumers have enjoyed electricity without paying any charges.

Due to hot weather prevailing up to the month of July, the consumption has generally increased and there is no increase in electricity tariff. Hence, consumers are requested not to believe any hoax messages.
