Last year at #G20 Ministerial meeting I equally stated that as part of our peace agenda, #Armenia had presented the initiative of the “#Crossroads_of_Peace” that aims at development of #connectivity between Armenia, its neighboring countries & goes far beyond.

➡️This year, following the signing of the Joint Declaration between Armenia & Azerbaijan, witnessed by the US, we agreed upon the fundamental #principles of the sovereignty, territorial integrity, inviolability of borders & #jurisdiction of the States, & now are working on technical solutions to be operated under those principles.

We are confident that full opening of transport communications, unlocking the transit & trade potential of the region will be a game changer. Implementation of the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative together with its integral #TRIPP connectivity project will generate new opportunities for economic growth, dialogue & people-to-people contacts, thus contributing to wider stability and prosperity.

We thank the partner countries who have already welcomed the initiative & count on the support of all int’l partners, including the G20, in advancing this vision.

➡️Today, following the successful trilateral meeting & historic milestone reached in Washington DC on 8 August through the initialing of the Peace Treaty between Armenia & Azerbaijan, I constitute that peace is now established.

On Sep 24, in NY, 🇦🇲FM @AraratMirzoyan had a meeting w/President of @ICRC Mirjana Spoljaric Egger.

The meeting took place on the margins of the 80th session of @un General Assembly.

Ararat Mirzoyan & Mirjana Spoljaric Egger discussed humanitarian issues, in particular the release of Armenian POW’s & civilian captives held in Azerbaijan, as well as the the issue of organizing visits to them in conditions of the closure of the #ICRC office in Azerbaijan.

The interlocutors expressed hope that the peace established btw Armenia & Azerbaijan by the agreements of the August 8 Washington Peace Summit will contribute also to the resolution of humanitarian issues.

Today, 🇦🇲FM @AraratMirzoyan & 🇵🇰Deputy PM & FM @MIshaqDar50 signed a Joint Communiqué on the Establishment of Diplomatic relations between #Armenia & #Pakistan.

By signing of the Communiqué, Armenia & Pakistan establish diplomatic relations. The two Governments are desirous to enhance friendly relations in accordance with the UN Charter, including the principles of mutual respect for sovereignty & territorial integrity, non-aggression, non-interference in each other’s internal affairs, equality, mutual benefit & peaceful co-existence.    

🤝 The Governments of Armenia & Pakistan have agreed to exchange Representatives & to provide each other all the necessary assistance for the performance of diplomatic relations on reciprocal basis in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961 & international customary practices.

📍The signing ceremony took place in Tianjin, #China on the sidelines of the CSO summit.

Today, with H.E. Deputy PM & FM of #Pakistan @MI@MIshaqDar50 we announced a landmark development: we signed the Joint Communiqué on establishment of diplomatic relations between 🇦🇲 & 🇵🇰.

By this major step, our Governments express their desire to develop mutually beneficial cooperation in line w/the UN Charter & readiness to foster constructive engagement in multilateral fora.

Had an important 📞 call with DPM & FM H.E. Ishaq Dar @MIshaqDar50 today. Following recent developments & in line with the vision of cooperative engagement both bilaterally & on multilateral platforms, we discussed establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia & Pakistan.

During Ambassadors’ Conference held in #Kapan, on August 27, discussions were held on the organization of #Armenia’s diplomatic service, including legal, financial, administrative, economic, & consular matters. Special attention was given to initiatives aimed at improving & modernizing the diplomatic service.

Secretary General of @MFAofArmenia @davidkarapet presented the report on activities undertaken since the previous Ambassadors’ Conference in 2024 & next steps.

@AraratMirzoyan touched upon the implemented & planned reforms aimed at further improving the diplomatic service.

The Ambassadors’ Conference continued with a discussion with the Minister of Territorial Administration & Infrastructure of #Armenia Davit Khudatyan.

The Minister presented the activities towards development of 🇦🇲’s infrastructure network, including road construction & the introduction of new routes in the field of aviation.

Cooperation with int’l partners in the field of energy was also touched upon.

Views were exchanged on the ongoing efforts to promote investments & the new opportunities in this area.
