ANCA Eastern Region urgently calls for the IMMEDIATE and SAFE release of all hostages, prisoners of war, and detained individuals from Artsakh who are currently being held unlawfully by the Azerbaijani government in Baku.
We collected evidence that precisely show the directions of the #Azerbaijani armed attacks & advancements towards #Artsakh on 19-20 September 2023, forced displacements. communities were isolated (villages): Martakert, Askeran, Martuni and Stepanakert. @GaroGhazarian1@kerkonian
The fascist dictatorship of Ilham Aliyev, who has built his rule of Azerbaijan on anti-Armenian hatred, committed ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabakh's Armenians last week. Now, we must stop them from coming for Armenia next.

The once bustling capital of #Artsakh, #Stepanakert, has become an ethnically cleansed and depopulated ghost town, as the police force of the dictatorship #Azerbaijan starts patrolling the streets.
LATEST: About 50,000 ethnic Armenians have now fled the disputed enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh, according to local officials, as the exodus triggered by Azerbaijan's takeover of the region appeared to accelerate, with fears its entire population may leave. https://t.co/wcnA89BN2u
After a ten months long blockade, on September 19th Azerbaijan’s military launched a brutal shelling of Nagorno Karabakh.
My heart breaks as I learn about the stories of trauma, loss, and severe violations of human rights of thousands of Armenian families who are being forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh and flee for Armenia in a mass exodus.
The situation that people in Nagorno-Karabakh are suffering right now, brings memories from History’s darkest hours. We often look back to those dark pages of indiscriminate killings, ethnic cleansing and concentration camps with remorse, and regret that no one did enough to stop it. We cannot bring back the victims from those past atrocities, but we are still in time to prevent genocide from unfolding in the Nagorno-Karabakh.
In the midst of this horror, we need immediate mobilization of emergency humanitarian aid through the Lachine Corridor and airlift and the deployment of international monitoring missions to put a stop to these crimes against humanity.
It is now urgent for international leaders to stand up against ethnic cleansing and use all possible political tools to put an end to military actions in the region.
Children have the right to live in peace in their homeland.

Nearly 30,000 people have now left Nagorno-Karabakh for Armenia, ethnically cleansed by Azerbaijan. A quarter of the total population, and most of them just today. https://t.co/4BgxGmTRj9
Yesterday, we visited the entrance to the #LachinCorridor, the only road linking #NagornoKarabakh to the outside world.
For nine months, #Azerbaijan has been blocking this road.
For two months, not even the @ICRC has been allowed in.
The 120,000 Armenian Christians of #NagornoKarabakh/#Artsakh are starving. This is #genocide.
My Plea to President Joe Biden to Stop Another Armenian Genocide. It’s time for America (and the world) to take action to protect Armenians from Azerbaijan. https://t.co/s53lRb59iz
There’s a place on the world map called Artsakh. A small republic, caught between nations that want to erase us off the map. The people here are currently fighting for right to live freely, independently, and with dignity on their ancestral lands — against all odds.
Armenian Christians are being strangled by Azerbaijan. The US must exert all the pressure and influence it has to save this endangered population from being starved and eventually driven from their homes. https://t.co/BIGge4LE6k
Azerbaijan has closed the only road into Nagorno-Karabakh, a home to ethnic Armenians, restricting the movement of food and medicine for roughly 120,000 people. “We should not accept a new Armenian genocide in 2023,” says @MorenoOcampo1, first prosecutor of the @IntlCrimCourt.
