82 years ago, 14,000 Canadians landed on Juno Beach, many of whom would never come home.
On the anniversary of D-Day, we pause to honour those who served and sacrificed. We remember that our rights, our freedoms, and our way of life were fought for and were won by those who answered the call.

@USAmbCanada Can’t imagine why no one here likes you, Pete.
I am endlessly impressed by your stamina, though, always having your jaw wide open and throat constantly relaxed. Well done.
Five cancers that used to be death sentences. Pancreatic. Glioblastoma. Triple-negative breast. Renal. Melanoma. The median survival for metastatic pancreatic cancer is still 6 months. Glioblastoma, 15 months.
Now personalized mRNA vaccines are producing complete remissions in some of these patients. Not responses. Remissions.
BioNTech’s pancreatic cancer vaccine has 6-year follow-up data. 8 of 16 patients who mounted an immune response are still alive. For a cancer that kills 95% of patients within 5 years, that's incredible.
Topol’s pyramid here maps the trajectory. From broad checkpoint inhibitors at the base to personalized neoantigen vaccines at the peak. The technology is climbing.
@sportsrage Yeaaaaah. I feel you on that. I bought a Rickenbaker 360 a few years ago thinking that was ‘the dream’ guitar, but it’s really like a late 80s LP custom, and I just can’t pull the trigger on that - at least not playing in bands anymore, tough sell to the wife and kids lol
@sportsrage I sold mine and have always regretted it, but I’m a Gibson Explorer guy, that’s what I’m reaching for, or a 335, and of course, my OG Zakk Wylde bullseye Epiphone that has been thrown off stages, fallen out of vans and had countless beers poured on it at shows lol
@sportsrage Yeah, signature guitars are out of hand right now with a lot of companies. I feel like Epiphone might be one of the few companies where they have the most even price points across the board.
@sportsrage I’ve owned one American tele, had a USA pro(?) Strat on loan *super* nice, and like 5 Squier Teles - but for the same price as the USA Strat my ‘08 PRS CE22 absolutely buried it in every way. Playability, electronics, balance - the works.
@sportsrage It’ll be interesting to see the argument of a ‘whole’ guitar being broken down. The Silver Sky is for sure a strat body, but a PRS headstock…so is the ‘guitar’ the same, or a portion. Low key excited to see how it plays out lol.
I’ve been a very vocal critic of the CFL broadcast deal (my opinion does not matter), and although I don’t love the exclusivity of TSN, there is so much to love about this direction, and it will truly only benefit the league and all therein. Great work to get this in place.
Can’t wait to see the numbers. And although some fans won’t be pleased about having to sign up for a streamer to watch games on Saturday, definitely a plus for the league in that many younger fans already have DAZN for NFL and soccer.
Please stop. I don’t want an AI summary of my Google search. I don’t want an AI summary of the text message from my friend at work. I don’t want an AI summary of the email I’m about to read. Please just stop.
@tysonhutchins_ I mean, heck yeah. I just switched platforms, and maaaaaaan - every camera is good these days. Kids don’t know how good they have it. Everything is awesome.
Am I the only one super over all of this recent ‘expansion’ talk?
Guys, give me a billion dollars and I’ll start an expansion team in Stittsville, no problem. Same energy.
