Alright everyone. I am definitively closing this chapter. I won't come back to this account. It has been an amazing journey. Thank you to all of you for your kindness and community. I certainly needed it at the time.
Having had more time to reflect in these past few years I came into terms with the fact that I am a lesbian. Internalised homophobia was and still is a very tough battle for me.
Sarted my acc when there was no (to my knowledge) aro and very litte ace content here. Actually started it because of the lack of rep. I am so very thrilled to see how many great people are speaking out a few years later. Thank you.
Happy Pride month everyone! Remember that ace and aro people have always been and will always be queer/LGBT+ and welcome at Pride. We belong there. Pride is also us. #PrideMonth2021
The oversexualisation of queer people is one of the main reasons why some of y'all gatekeep the term/queer spaces for us aces/aros and non-binary people. Queer isn't inherently sexual and you need to understand it. Thank you.
sometimes it makes me upset that i dont feel romantic or sexual attraction, like im missing out or am unlucky as โฆ โ I feel you! And yet, life is so much greater and wider than the heteronormative agenda makes it seem like. In thoโฆ https://t.co/CETe6Pxbhm
Iโm asexual and demiromantic. I have a libido (mainly when drunk, though) and am sex positive. Iโve kissed both gโฆ โ I understand. You may be touch averse or you just don't like it and it's ok. I know we are expected to like it anโฆ https://t.co/creIqRH7Jt
So finally there seems to be an aro equivalent to the ace ring. A white ring on the left middle finger.
Thank you so much for bringing it to my attention, @IneffableUrgh!
