Hamawy served as a combat surgeon in Iraq, which we invaded based on lies told by Ari Fleischer. Hamawy told me yesterday that on heavy days of battle he’d operate on as many as 30-40 American servicemembers, triaging where he had to.
Ari bears significant responsibility for every single one of those maimed men and women that Hamawy worked to save.
Now to have the balls to link him to Al Qaeda is not remotely the most shameful thing he’s done in his life, but it has to be in the top ten.
The NY Times published its piece insinuating that Graham Platner's $200,000 home makes him an oligarch on literally the same day Sen. Susan Collins' new financial disclosure shows she is worth literally millions of dollars.
It's a reminder that there's no such thing as "objectivity" - a news outlet's story selection is a sign of its subjective viewpoint and its goals.
Of course, all candidates deserve scrutiny — but the point here is that what corporate news outlets decide to cover and not cover is a subjective and often ideological decision, even if they then write the stories in the language of objectivity.
Everyone should stop pretending “objectivity” is a thing. It’s not. Fairness and accuracy is — but the moment decisions are made that something is news (say, Platner’s modest house) and something isn’t news (say, Collins’ massive wealth), there is inherently no objectivity.
It would be better for outlets just to be more honest and admit what their goals, values and viewpoints really are.
@neeratanden Your brilliant strategy of crushing the left has handed over the reins of power TWICE to Trump. No one who pretends to be on the side of the working class should listen to you ever
I need help. I'm disabled & can't sit upright right now. IBS flares have me bedridden, I have a colorectal appointment, ongoing neurosurgeon care, & I am $190 short of being able to eat & cover essentials including meds. Any amount or share matters.

Let that sink in.
File under "Things you do when you are committing genocide"...
BREAKING: A new UN report finds that Israel’s assault on Gaza - with the destruction of health care, education, infrastructure, even the banking system - has erased 69 years of human development, marking the worst economic collapse ever recorded.
This is not war: it is genocide.
In 2006, two academics, John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt, wrote a paper called “The Israel Lobby,” which argued that a loose group of Israel supporters used their connections and financial resources to tilt US foreign policy in Israel’s direction.
One of them, Stephen Walt, was academic dean of The Harvard Kennedy School, which put him at the pinnacle of his profession.
The savage response to the paper was like nothing academia had ever seen. We can now report that Jeffrey Epstein helped coordinate the counterattack with Alan Dershowitz, while Larry Summers was Harvard president. And Les Wexner was one of the largest donors to the Kennedy School, if not the largest. Epstein controlled Wexner’s money.
In other words, a loose group of powerful supporters of Israel used their financial resources and connections behind the scenes to destroy the reputations of two academics who wrote a paper arguing that a loose group of Israel supporters was using their connections and financial resources to shape American foreign policy. 🇵🇸 Breaking: 22-year-old Palestinian, held without charge or trial since May 2024, dies in Israeli custody — the 78th Palestinian “prisoner” to die since Oct 7.
The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society said Ahmad Khdeirat, from Adh-Dhahiriya near Hebron, entered prison with diabetes, contracted scabies in Israel’s notorious Negev camp, and endured severe hunger and untreated illness while imprisoned. They said he lost 40kg before his death.
Khdeirat was among 3,544 Palestinians being held indefinitely under “administrative detention,” out of more than 11,000 prisoners in Israeli jails, excluding thousands more Gaza captives.
@CoconutBird80 So sorry to hear about your daughter. I hope she, and your grands, make full recoveries. It's horrifying that we've all been left out here to confront this on our own.
Thank you for your kind words. Much appreciated🔥✊❤️
