Arsenal Labour Party

Arsenal Labour Party! Updates for local party members and supporters.

[Bashir Ibrahim @BashOIbrahim]

Fantastic to be campaigning earlier with @AnnelieseDodds, supporting @Debbie_abrahams to be re-elected Oldham East and Saddleworth’s MP.

Vote for change on 4 July. #VoteLabour 🌹

[Bashir Ibrahim @BashOIbrahim]

🌹 Two @ArsenalLabour campaign sessions encouraging residents to vote for @SadiqKhan to keep delivering for London

⚽️ @ArsenalWFC winning 3-1 at home having sold out for the first time in history!

🔴 Politics or football, ‘Come On You Reds’ was the message today loud and clear!

[fincraig @fincraig1]

Lots of support again for @IslingtonLabour on the doorstep. Someone reminded me that child poverty was at a record low when the Tories came into power. We now have the highest child poverty out of the 39 relatively well-off countries. Use your vote to change this

[Bashir Ibrahim @BashOIbrahim]

🌹 Good campaign session with my fellow @ArsenalLabour Councillors today. Lots of support for @SadiqKhan from local residents.

Great to be joined by @Semakaleng - our London Assembly Labour candidate as well as colleagues @staff_heather and @DavidgPoyser

🔴 #VoteLabour on 2 May

[Bashir Ibrahim @BashOIbrahim]

Great to be out and about earlier today with my fellow @ArsenalLabour Councillors.

One of two winning teams in Arsenal 🔴⚽️

[Bashir Ibrahim @BashOIbrahim]

Great to be out with my fellow @ArsenalLabour Councillor, @fincraig1 after our surgery to talk to local residents.

Sad to see so much real concern about the Tory cost of living crisis.

Our @IslingtonLabour Council is on your side with lots of support: https://t.co/fize2v4BSx

Fantastic @ArsenalLabour canvassing session this afternoon.

Sobering to talk to residents about how the Labour-led Council is supporting them during the tough Tory cost-of-living crisis.

Great to be joined by @JasonUJackson!

[Bashir Ibrahim @BashOIbrahim]

Yesterday, I popped in to @IslingtonBC's Repair Café at @FPMosque where local residents brought their broken and pre-loved items to be repaired for free.

💷 Good for your pocket
♻️ Great for the environment
🛠 New lease of life for your products

[fincraig @fincraig1]

The Tory government continues to fail this country. How can it now be so 'normal' in the UK for families to use food banks? Out today with @IslingtonLabour members collecting for our local food bank and offering support with #CostOfLivingCrisis. We need a new government.

[Bashir Ibrahim @BashOIbrahim]

Energetic (yet cold!) morning with local @ArsenalLabour Councillors and activists, speaking to local residents about the Tory cost-of-living crisis and collecting donations for @EH_Highbury Food Hub.

In these tough times, @IslingtonLabour is #OnYourSide 🌹

[Bashir Ibrahim @BashOIbrahim]

🌹 Great to be out on the #LabourDoorstep over the weekend with my fellow @ArsenalLabour Councillors and activists speaking to local residents about how we are supporting them during the Tory cost-of-living crisis.

@IslingtonLabour will always be #OnYourSide.

[Bashir Ibrahim @BashOIbrahim]

Had the privilege of visiting @IslingtonMind LDTogether project, which supports local people with mental health challenges and learning difficulties in a safe, therapeutic space.

Proud to fund this vital work alongside my fellow Councillors through our S106 funding.

#OnYourSide

[Bashir Ibrahim @BashOIbrahim]

Great to be out on the #LabourDoorstep this morning before the Arsenal game speaking to local residents about the Tory cost-of-living crisis and the support available from our @IslingtonLabour-led Council

Busy day meeting residents on the #labourdoorstep. A lot of people worried about the #CostOfLivingCrisis and how they will manage. Look out for a letter hand delivered to you by @IslingtonLabour with info about who to contact for support (including your local labour councillors)

[fincraig @fincraig1]

A wonderful celebration for #UkraineIndependenceDay2022 organised by @IslingtonBC yesterday. This year it feels more important than ever and it was lovely to share the day with so many families now living in Islington

[fincraig @fincraig1]

@IslingtonLabour supporting the @CWUnews workers striking today, for decent pay and conditions. #StandByYourPostie

[Bashir Ibrahim @BashOIbrahim]

Enjoyed attending the Harvist Estate International Community Day to celebrate the diverse cultures of local residents. From food to face painting to songs and Sonic!

We even got (temporary) sticker tattoos and got on some great bikes - who said Councillors can’t be cool?! 😉

[Bashir Ibrahim @BashOIbrahim]

I support @IslingtonBC Leader, @KayaJunction in calling on @thameswater to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

Residents and businesses will see reported profits of around £488m last year, talk of a hosepipe ban, a drought and wonder what the summer and near-future holds for them.

[Bashir Ibrahim @BashOIbrahim]

Now the immediate response has occurred, urgent questions must be answered by @thameswater as I set out on @BBCLondonNews.

They must prioritise infrastructure investment now - to avoid further leaks, bursts and mass disruption to residents and businesses.

🧵 Last week, a major water pipe burst, causing profound distress and damage to local residents & businesses in my area.

I was on the ground shortly afterwards and saw the collective response efforts of partners inc. @LFBIslington, @LAS_HART and @IslingtonBC - credit to them! 👏🏽
