Спорт не означає безпамʼятство, а олімпійський рух має допомагати зупиняти війни, а не підігравати агресору. На жаль, рішення Міжнародного олімпійського комітету дискваліфікувати українського скелетоніста Владислава Гераскевича говорить про інше. Це точно не про принципи олімпізму, які засновані на справедливості та підтримці миру.

Я дякую нашому атлету за чітку позицію. Його шолом із портретами загиблих українських спортсменів – це про шану і памʼять. Це нагадування всьому світові, що таке російська агресія і яка ціна боротьби за незалежність. І в цьому немає порушення жодного правила.

Це Росія постійно порушує олімпійські принципи і використовує час проведення Олімпіади для війни. У 2008-му – війна проти Грузії, у 2014-му – окупація Криму, у 2022-му – повномасштабне вторгнення в Україну. І зараз, у 2026-му, попри численні заклики припинити вогонь на час проведення зимових Олімпійських ігор – повна зневага з боку Росії і збільшення ударів ракетами й дронами по нашій енергетиці та наших людях.

660 українських атлетів і тренерів були вбиті Росією за час повномасштабної війни. Сотні наших спортсменів більше ніколи не зможуть взяти участь ні в Олімпійських іграх, ні в будь-яких інших міжнародних змаганнях. Але при цьому 13 росіян зараз в Італії і беруть участь в Олімпіаді. Це на Олімпійських іграх вони під «нейтральними» прапорами, а в житті публічно підтримують російську агресію проти України та окупацію наших територій. І саме вони заслуговують на дискваліфікацію.

Пишаємося Владиславом та його вчинком. Мати сміливість – це більше ніж мати медалі.

Unfortunately, there may be many civilian victims — rescue operations are underway.

Unlike fictional “strikes on Putin’s residences”, this was a very real strike and war crime. We expect strong international responses, including from those who recently reacted to Russian fakes about Putin’s palaces.

There needs to be strength and unity in reacting to such terror against our people. There should be no pauses in increasing pressure on Moscow and support for Ukraine.

On this day in 1991, the Soviet Union finally ceased to exist. A moment that went down in history as a triumph of liberty.

Its dissolution ended a regime built on repression, censorship, political terror, genocidal famines, mass deportations, and the systematic erasure of identities, among other crimes.

The fall of the USSR opened the way for nations to reclaim their sovereignty and rebuild their futures on freedom rather than fear.

Yet Moscow never abandoned its imperial ambitions. It does not see the USSR as a horrific past to be left behind, but as a model for the future – authoritarian, repressive, built on cruelty and punishment.

We must never allow it. Russia’s aggression and imperialism must be put to an end, once and for all.

Modern Ukrainian diplomacy dates back to the early 20th century, when on this day in 1917 the General Secretariat of International Affairs of the Ukrainian People’s Republic was established.

Today, on Ukraine's Diplomatic Service Day, we honor the contributions of all generations of Ukrainian diplomats in building and strengthening our state and diplomatic service.

It is my greatest honor and responsibility to lead the @MFA_Ukraine in the face of Russia’s full-scale war, working together with the entire Ukrainian diplomatic team to strengthen our brave defenders on the frontline, consolidate international support, secure weapons and essential aid, increase pressure on the aggressor, and bolster our national resilience.

Обговорили двосторонній порядок денний, окреслили подальші плани, шляхи посилення торговельно-економічної співпраці та проблематику взаємодії в рамках міжнародних організацій. Підтвердили, що взаємна повага до суверенітету і територіальної цілісності є фундаментом українсько-китайських відносин. Millions of Ukrainians were starved to death by the Soviet regime in less than a year – during the 1932–1933 Holodomor. It was a genocide to destroy the Ukrainian nation.

On the fourth Saturday of November, Ukraine marks the National Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Holodomor and other artificial famines deliberately created by the Soviet regime – including those of 1921–1923 and 1946–1947.

Today, Russia continues its genocidal policy against Ukraine and commits crimes that endanger global food security.

This evil repeats because it went unpunished in the past. We call on the world to recognise Holodomor as a genocide, and to hold Russia accountable for its war crimes.

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stressed that Russia’s massive drone and missile attacks on Ukraine demand equally strong and symmetrical responses.

💬 "Russian attacks against us – often 500–600 drones combined with missiles – demand equally decisive action on our part. What I mean is this: if 500–600 drones attack Ukraine, the same number must strike Russia, targeting military sites on its territory," @andrii_sybiha stated in an interview with Ukrinform.

He also emphasised the need for stronger air defense support, the use of frozen Russian assets for Ukraine’s defense, and tougher sanctions on Moscow.

Together with my colleagues @sikorskiradek and @BudrysKestutis, we made a statement of the Lublin Triangle, strongly condemning the recent deliberate intrusion of Russian drones into Polish territory, which constitutes an unprecedented provocation and escalation.

We urge strong responses to put the aggressor in its place. We offer deeper cooperation to prevent such risks. We call for resolute transatlantic action to increase sanctions pressure on Russia and support for Ukraine.

Only adequate and strong responses will prevent further escalation. Together, we reaffirm our unity, strength and cooperation—notably with our allies and partners in NATO and the EU—as the only way to effectively counter Russian aggression and safeguard the security of our people.

❗️🇺🇦🚆 today, Ukraine has officially launched a European-standard railway line with a track gauge of 1435 mm, running parallel to the Soviet-era 1520 mm railways. This line will connect Uzhhorod with Bratislava, Košice, Budapest, and Venice.

The Uzhhorod–Chop section is planned to be extended to Lviv, with the ultimate goal of transitioning Ukraine’s entire railway system to the European standard.

President @ZelenskyyUA had a meaningful and productive conversation with President Trump. We are grateful to the U.S. for its engagement and continued commitment to supporting Ukraine and advancing peace.

It is very important that the leaders of Ukraine and the United States agreed to meet in Washington, D.C., on Monday to discuss steps ahead to put an end to the killing and war.

We value the American side’s positive signals regarding its willingness to work on developing reliable security guarantees infrastructure for Ukraine. We also support President Trump’s efforts to organise a trilateral leaders’ meeting between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia.

Putin must understand the consequences of dragging out his war. He has lied too many times in the past and completely devalued his word. Only his actions are real indicators of whether he is truly willing to end his terror and aggression.

That is why the strategy of peace through strength remains our priority. Increased pressure on Moscow and strengthening for Ukraine are critical components to advance peace.

During this decisive time, we coordinate closely with all of our allies and thank them for their support and unity. Transatlantic unity is paramount to achieving lasting peace and security for all of us.

Ukraine remains committed to peace efforts. We will continue to use every opportunity, even the smallest one, to end the war, save lives, and release our people.

During the conversation, President Zelenskyy also conveyed his gratitude to First Lady Melania Trump for her sincere attention and efforts to bring forcibly deported Ukrainian kids back. This is a true act of humanism.

We continue working toward peace and strengthening Ukraine in all domains.

We had a long and substantive conversation with @POTUS. We started with one-on-one talks before inviting European leaders to join us. This call lasted for more than an hour and a half, including about an hour of our bilateral conversation with President Trump.

Ukraine reaffirms its readiness to work with maximum effort to achieve peace. President Trump informed about his meeting with the Russian leader and the main points of their discussion. It is important that America’s strength has an impact on the development of the situation.

We support President Trump’s proposal for a trilateral meeting between Ukraine, the USA, and Russia. Ukraine emphasizes that key issues can be discussed at the level of leaders, and a trilateral format is suitable for this.

On Monday, I will meet with President Trump in Washington, D.C., to discuss all of the details regarding ending the killing and the war. I am grateful for the invitation.

It is important that Europeans are involved at every stage to ensure reliable security guarantees together with America. We also discussed positive signals from the American side regarding participation in guaranteeing Ukraine’s security. We continue to coordinate our positions with all partners. I thank everyone who is helping.

4,013 days in Russian captivity – that is how long one of the Ukrainians freed in a recent prisoner exchange had spent in captivity, having been captured back in 2014 in the Donetsk region.

On August 14, the 67th prisoner exchange took place, with Ukraine bringing home 33 servicemen and 51 civilian Ukrainians who had been detained in the temporarily occupied territories even before the full-scale invasion and unlawfully sentenced to long prison terms – from 10 to 18 years. Among those who returned were Ukrainians captured and sentenced by Russia between 2016 and 2021. The freed also include three women from the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, one of them is a primary school teacher imprisoned in 2019.

Time spent in Russian captivity is often not counted in days or months, but in years. Both civilians and military personnel face various forms of torture – psychological, sexual, and physical, in inhumane and unsanitary conditions. Our shared mission is to bring every Ukrainian home.
