Jameis Winston is asked about being named QB3 on the Giants' roster behind Russell Wilson and Jaxson Dart:
"As a competitor, you want to be the starter. But I prepare to be the starter, I know I'm a starter in this league.
But you have to be able to be grateful for your role...my role right now is to assist Russ and Jaxson to be the best that they can be while preparing to be the best that I can be.
No matter if I'm 3, 33, this is my first year being number 19, so it's always a first for everything.
I focus on what I would love. And what I would love is for this team to have success."
“Listen Frog,” said Toad. “How long have I been asleep?”
“You have been asleep since November,” said Frog.
“Well then,” said Toad. “A little more sleep will not hurt me.”
You are writing words on the wall of your heart. Through the entire stretch of your life, moment by moment, it's happening.
It's not a question of IF but WHAT. What are the words?
-the graffiti of this world's "beatitudes," such as "Blessed are the famous, rich, powerful, attractive, and self-sufficient"?
-the lurid language of base passions that dictate we divinize our lust, gratify our anger, and love ourselves above all things?
-religious lies such as "God helps those who help themselves" and "heaven is for basically good people"?
There is and will be ink all over your heart. What are you writing there or allowing to be written there? What are the creeds and dogmas inscribed within you?
Proverbs calls us to be attentive to the words of wisdom, the words of God, and to "keep them within your heart" (4:21). That Hebrew word for keep, shamar (שׁמר), could also be translated "guard" or "watch over." Psalm 119:11 pictures it this way: "I have stored up your word in my heart."
Are you a parent? Fill your child's heart with words of wisdom from the Lord's Scriptures. Write these on their heart as you teach them the Old and New Testaments. Ink the story of Jesus and his love onto the scroll of their souls. If you don't do it, the world will ink it's full lies and half truths there.
Do the same for yourself. Read the Scriptures. Memorize verses. Learn Psalms by heart. Choose a verse to "chew on" day by day. "Read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest" the Scriptures, as one of my favorite prayers puts it.
The walls of our hearts will be full of words. Let's make sure those walls are covered with the script of heaven, the living and life-giving words of the Spirit, that will daily enrich us and carry us through times both good and bad.
O Lord, take pen in hand and write within me your Word, that from my innermost being may echo forth your love, truth, peace, and justice.

Joe Burrow vs. the Ravens in Week 10 —pressured on 48% of his dropbacks: 428 yards, 4 TDs, 0 INTs.
Mahomes was pressured on 47% of dropbacks in the first half against the Eagles. We saw how that looked.
Bengals fans have normalized Burrow magic in awful circumstances.
BREAKING: Cincinnati has landed 5⭐️ SF Shon Abaev out of Florida. The high-volume scorer plays for Fear of God Athletics and Overtime Elite.
Cincy beats out Arkansas, Auburn and others. He is the second highest-rated commit in UC history giving the #Bearcats a top-25 class.
My sense is the #Bengals have intensified efforts in recent days to place Ja’Marr Chase among the NFL’s highest-paid receivers on an extension. Can they beat the clock?

@thebengalorian The first time I had pre-workout was an in-office work day that was dragging. I wanted a bit of caffeine but cafe was closed so a coworker gave me some around 2PM. I proceeded to move my mouse from monitor to monitor for an hour aimlessly and didn’t accomplish a single thing 😂
@NateD2207 Reminds me of Cueto and even Volquez. When they got their pitch count under control (quicker innings, fewer BB’s/k’s), they both went from good, albeit frustrating, to very good. Cueto borderline elite.
@plstepp I like it for the literal translation but marry it with NIV, ERV, the message, and now ESV knowing literally isn’t always best. My prayer is the Spirit does its thing because not all is black and white.
Just saw a pic of you and Stan on a FB memory. Sure do miss him!
