Mumbai's AQI Swing Explained 🍃
The recent improvement in air quality is driven by strengthening westerlies over the Arabian Sea. These winds carry moisture & give air ventilation straight from the sea which disperses the accumulated pollutants.
Once the sea breeze circulation fully activates, AQI levels can drop rapidly over the city, often falling below 100, and at times even under 50 or 30 in cleaner pockets!
This phase is likely to persist till the first week of March, before the next seasonal shift alters the pattern again.
Expect stronger sunshine, clearer skies, and a relatively pleasant weekend ahead ☀️🌊
@Neerajtindian30@NBTMumbai@NavbharatTimes@mybmc@WesternRly@RailMinIndia@mybmc now they’re going to collect bribes in-person! How efficient. I don’t know how BMC enforcers face their kids at home with the sheer lack of construction mismanagement. Guess they care more about lazing around and hoarding money than the health of their next generation too
@prvkhvr Completely agree. I think people need a crash course in nuance. You can’t use a phrase which is known to be racist and then just play it off. You’re not that oblivious and we aren’t so foolish.
@deedydas@pashmerepat What exactly are you apologizing for? It’s obvious to anyone who’s ever encountered any Indian hate online as a bystander that the exact phrase “imagine the smell” is nothing more than a racist dog whistle.
It’s basically the equivalent of someone commenting “well, well, well”.
