A Delhi travel agency booked 640 Akasa Air seats to Goa for Christmas–New Year 2023 and paid a ₹4.82 lakh advance.

Akasa cancelled them all without notice, months before travel, and refunded the advance.

Its defence: group bookings needed a 50% advance.

The Delhi commercial court found no proof the agency was ever told that, and ordered Akasa to pay ₹1.08 crore for lost profits.

Save this — a refund doesn't erase a broken contract.
