There are too many emails. Too many texts. Too many accounts. Too many logins. Too many apps. Too many rewards programs. Too many fundraisers. Too many appointments. Too many virtual meetings. Too many newsletters. Too many forms. Too many social media platforms. My brain hurts.
The constant pumping of music into every public space, every idle second of sport, every supermarket and café, speaks to an underlying sickness, a kind of cultural mental illness. As a society we are allergic to silence, terrified of spending even one second with our own thoughts
I love doing stuff alone because nobody can rush me. I like taking my time and just.. being. Might go one place and end up in many other places idk. I like to slow down and take in my surroundings.
The older you get, the less appetite you have for fancy cooking during Ramadan.
Honestly, it’s such a waste for men or women to spend all day in the kitchen just to have lavish meal during iftar.
There much better ways to spend your time when you’re fasting.
