more you watch Pakistan women’s cricket, more you realize how much ground still needs to be covered. Teams can stay under the radar when fewer are watching, but World Cup brings bigger audiences & with that come higher expectations and scrutiny.

Pakistan women cricket today arguably has more facilities, resources & playing opportunities than ever before, yet the progress on the field hasn’t always reflected those investments. More eyeballs bring more scrutiny & while criticism may not always be welcomed, that is how professional sport works. Expectations rise with exposure & performances are judged accordingly.

But at the same time, Pakistan is still a developing nation in women’s cricket & should be viewed in that context. The journey has been long from the Khan sisters and Kiran Baloch to Qanita Jalil, Asmavia Iqbal, Sana Mir, Bismah Maroof, Javeria Khan, Diana Baig, Nida Dar and now Fatima Sana. Every generation has carried the game forward and inspired the next. There is a lot of aspiration and a lot to build upon.

I guess it’s time to take women’s cricket more seriously by the fans & of course by the PCB. If we want results on the biggest stages, women’s cricket can no longer be treated as an afterthought or merely as a team Pakistan fields in world cricket ceremonially . It deserves more investment, stronger domestic structures, right ppl, more competitive cricket & seriousness.
