Vitamin A is being administered in Pakistan during polio campaign from 16 to 20 Jan. App 35 M children, 6 to 59 months, will receive vitamin A, it enhances their immunity and protect them from diarrhoea, pneumonia, night blindness, measles etc. ��@NutritionIntl⁩

BRSP, with the financial and technical support of Nutrition International, has treated 78,618 diarrhoeal episodes through Zinc and LOORS & conducted 5,689 community sessions to 27,605 men and 50,697 women community members in six districts of Balochistan @NutritionIntl

Diarrhea causes 16% of all child deaths in Pakistan, However, only 32.9% of children suffering from diarrhea are treated with LO-ORS, and a mere 5% receive zinc. Awareness-raising around exclusive breastfeeding and dietary practices can reduce diarrheal episodes significantly.
