I'm in the process of creating an immersive audience-participation game show for performances in London, UK Tours, Conventions & Festivals (fingers crossed!) ๐ฅณ Would really appreciate any advice on production & promotion, or would love to collaborate on this project! PM me ๐

@PreciseCarnage@ellymelly Who is 'they'? I can't believe I have to say this to a (presumably) sentient being in 2024, but WOMEN ARE NOT A MONOLITH. 'Women' is an extremely varied category of person, and so they are all looking for different qualities in a partner in order to suit themselves individually.
@mancityneil@ShirleighShirlz He still played leading & supporting roles, dancing professionally. Again, why are you trying to delegitimise comedy roles in MT? They also take plenty of skill & stamina. While LW has a lot of impressive experience in demanding roles, there is no need to disparage comedy roles.
@mancityneil@ShirleighShirlz Didn't lie. LD was in the West end in leading and supporting roles before LW was born. LD has also done several national tours throughout the years. Don't try to delegitimise LD's professional experience just because you want to have a go at LW for being brilliant.
@mancityneil@ShirleighShirlz I'm certainly comparing their experience in terms of years. Previous post said '17'. I said 'I see your 17, and raise you to over 30'. It shows that length of experience only selectively annoys people if you are a member of marginalised communities & really bloody good.
@mancityneil@ShirleighShirlz Les Dennis has been dancing in musicals on west end stages and on national tours since before Layton was born. 30+ years experience.
Performers tend to be triple threats. Until its a show of non-celebs, you have to accept some are going to have significant dance experience.
@hand_ike @clinc_chloe @FlopsyPickle Layton has received a lot of racist and homophobic hatred during his time on strictly. I never said I was talking about you. People have used this 'professional' argument to justify their hatred. That is why I push back against this argument.
@hand_ike @clinc_chloe @FlopsyPickle When I say 'it doesn't matter', I mean that it shouldn't be the catalyst for so much unwarranted hatred. The 'he's a professional' argument has given way to so much bigoted harassment, and *that* matters. Not just for LW but for members of already marginalised communities.
@hand_ike @clinc_chloe @FlopsyPickle I don't think anybody thinks he has zero advantage. No latin/ballroom experience, so its not like he had nothing to learn. But does it even matter? If this were a show with non-famous people trying to win loads of money, then it should be fair, but that's not what strictly is.
@HarleenQzel40 The only reason it is a competition is to add some tension/suspense so that the audience keeps coming back, and so that they can make money off people voting. The show's sole purpose is to maintain an audience in order to make money. So why care about 'fairness'? Just enjoy it.
@LindaSu77744658 @Hoolie206 @Bufferb2012 So she knows how to move and has built up a career of stamina and fitness. Why does everyone pretend that all but one of the celebrities are starting completely at zero? Virtually nobody who has been on that stage is starting at zero. Almost all have some experience or advantage.
@hand_ike @clinc_chloe @FlopsyPickle Most celebs are triple threat performers to some extent. Even Les Dennis has danced professionally on stage throughout his career. So while LW is very talented, virtually nobody is starting at zero by your metric. And it doesn't matter anyway - its a light entertainment show.
In how many reshuffled combinations do we have to see these oafs, narcissists, hatemongers and charlatans before we kick them out of office for good?

@stein_aviv @doiredani @okaywhatnoww@RaniaKhalek Nearly half of gazans today are under 18 (aka children). So over half of gazans today were either too young to vote or didn't even exist in 2006. So over half of people being deprived/bombed today had zero say in choosing hamas. You think children who had no control deserve this?
@MikeButler1210@SkyNews Where did it say that there was any property damage? They draped fabric, which can just be removed.
I get the sense that all of the complaints that people have about climate protests are just a cover for their apathy. The goalposts for 'acceptable protest' are moved every time.
