Tax reform will be critical to making these investments. We should ask millionaires and billionaires to pay their #FairShare, which would raise $1.4 billion in the first FY alone. We can make data centers pay their fair share of taxes, which could raise up to $1 billion a year.

It’s clear that Governor Youngkin’s #VaBudget is missing one key thing: new, sustainable revenues. Without them, his budget lacks the big, bold investments Virginia must make in public education, health care, affordable housing, and more.

❌Helping fill the $4.1 billion hole our public schools are in
❌Much-needed funding for affordable child care
❌Any new investment in the Va Affordable Housing Trust Fund
❌Protecting access to health care services for 1.8 million Virginians

#VaGov seems to be reviving his proposal to coerce local jails to enforce federal immigration detainers or face state $$ cuts. This harms immigrant families & would be costly for localities by making facilities hold people up to 2 days after they’d otherwise be released.
