#PCMC wins the medal of honour at the 6th Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation.

A proud moment for all Pimpri-Chinchwadkars and Indians, our city has been honored with the prestigious Medal of Honor at the Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation. PCMC's Navi Disha program, empowering women-led groups in managing community toilets, played a pivotal role in securing this accolade.
In a competition with 193 cities and regions from 54 countries, PCMC's dedication to innovation, effectiveness, and sustainable urban development stood out. This initiative not only emphasizes gender inclusion in sanitation but also highlights the success of public-community partnerships and efficient administration.
The Navi Disha initiative, championed by women's groups, showcases our dedication to inclusive and sustainable development and our commitment to transformative urban solutions..
I extend heartfelt thanks to all stakeholders, citizens, public representatives, and every member of @pcmcindiagovin @PCMCSarathi for this global recognition.
Congratulations to the entire team!

Looking ahead, we aim to amplify the Navi Disha initiative, engaging more women and tripling the beneficiaries in the coming months.
Together, let's continue pioneering positive change!

[Shekhar Singh @shekhardalal]

The state-of-the-art Dust Suppression Fog machines and Road Washers / Sprinklers recently introduced by the #PCMC, exclusively utilize treated/recycled water from our Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs). Drinking water or groundwater will never be used in these machines.

Both the road washers/sprinklers and the movable fog cannons have been operational for the past week and have actively helped reduce particulate and dust pollution, and significantly improved the air quality across the city.

The Dust Suppression Fog Cannons use tertiary treated water from Chikhali STP, while the Road Washers and Sprinklers utilize treated water from other STPs across PCMC.
