There’s something I’ve been wanting to tell you, and it’s not about missing you, distance, holding hands, or any of the usual romantic things. It’s about how much I genuinely appreciate the person you are.
I don't think people always realize how much of an impact they have on someone else's life. Sometimes it's not one huge thing that makes you important to someone. It's the accumulation of all the little things. The way you speak, the way you react to certain situations, the things you get excited about, the things you care about, even the little habits you probably don't think twice about. Somehow, all of those pieces have become things I know and recognize about you.
And I really like knowing you.
I like being able to learn more about you as time goes on. I like discovering the parts of you that aren't immediately obvious. The more comfortable we become with each other, the more I realize that I don't just love having you around—I genuinely enjoy the person you are. I enjoy your mind, your personality, your way of seeing things, and even the little differences between us that make you uniquely you.
I don't want you to ever feel like you have to constantly do something impressive to deserve my affection. You don't have to entertain me, always be in a good mood, or have everything together. I want to know the real you. The tired you. The quiet you. The overly excited you. The stubborn you. The soft you. All of it.
And I want you to know that I'm grateful for the trust you give me whenever you let me see those sides of you.
I think that's one of the most beautiful things about getting close to someone. Eventually, you stop trying to present the perfect version of yourself, and you start letting that person see who you actually are. That's the kind of closeness I want with you. Something honest enough that neither of us has to constantly wonder whether we're being accepted for who we really are.
So if I don't always say it perfectly, please understand that I notice you. I appreciate you. I pay attention to you. And I don't take for granted the fact that out of all the people in the world, I get to know you this closely.
You are someone I genuinely value, and that's something I hope you never have to question.
one of the greatest things you can build in yourself is the ability to just figure it out. you don’t need to know how. you don’t need the answer yet. you just need that little voice that goes, fuck it. I’ll figure it out. then you do. over and over. eventually you stop being so afraid of what you don’t know.
I routinely evaluate my own behavior, because I recognize that l am sometimes the source of the problem. I have made mistakes, and I have hurt ppl in ways I cannot undo. Instead of denying it, I face it, apologize, and let it change me. Growth, for me, is not about protecting my image but confronting what needs to be fixed. I would rather become better than stay comfortable pretending I already am.
Finally understand why some people only date within their similar lifestyle and education level.
Being on the same wavelength intellectually and emotionally matters the most.
reminder that you're allowed to fall in love during your healing process. someone will love the unhealed version of you just as much as the one you're working to become. you're worthy of love even when you aren't the best version of yourself. you can always start again.
@atluntadimanato The amount of time we give to someone is directly proportional to the importance we give to that person and we give that importance because we enjoy their company and we trust them too.. so, howmuch quality time we are giving to a person defines the friendship
Yearning for companionship as an adult is one of the loneliest feelings. It’s not that you can’t be alone. You can take yourself out, build a life, stay busy and learn to enjoy your own company. But sometimes you don’t want independence. You want someone to come home to. Someone to tell the little things to. Someone who knows your day, your thoughts, your habits and the parts of you that no one else sees. And there’s something especially painful about wanting that while pretending you’re perfectly content without it. You can love your own company and still deeply long for someone to share your life with. Those two things can exist at the same time.
Liking a girl and being liked by her must be such a blessing. There's this human being on this earth, a cute girl, and out of all the people on earth, she chose you. And she likes you, she thinks about you, she cares about you.
For a RELATIONSHIP to really work, you gotta understand this: You and your partner are TWO different people, with two different pasts, trying to build ONE future. You didn't grow up the same, you won't always think the same, and that's okay. What matters is HOW you handle it. Communicate without turning everything into an argument. Listen even when you're frustrated. Stop keeping score and start choosing growth. Because every disagreement shouldn't create distance. It should build understanding
