Thanks for all of the hard work from the organizers and speakers at this year’s Aspen Conference. With careful risk mitigation, our incredible ARDS community can continue to learn from (and inspire!) each other, even in the most difficult of times.
Abstract due date is approaching! Don’t miss the opportunity for in-person discussion with international thought leaders on ARDS clinical and mechanistic heterogeneity. Talks will also be available to conference registrants for remote viewing.

Unfortunately, due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Aspen Lung Conference has been postponed. This pandemic has highlighted the critical importance of ARDS phenotypic and mechanistic heterogeneity; accordingly, we look forward to addressing this important topic in 2021.

The # of Americans killed by guns every yr is almost identical to the number who die from #breastcancer (~40K for each). If we think the # of deaths from one is unacceptably high & needs research funding, stands to reason the other one does too. #ThisIsOurLane

Hey new interns, we really are glad you’re here. We don’t think you’re dumb, you’re not too slow, you are not a bother to us, and you’re not asking too many questions. We think you’re going to be good at this.
We’re excited to teach you some stuff.
Love,
The Seniors

Attend a scientific conf in another specialty. I’ve learned at #AspenLung2019 that there are pulm HTN trials of AI, CDKi, PARPi, mTORi, HDACi, etc. Feeling like disease is all a big test from the universe to see if we’ll figure out collaboration is essential for human survival.
