- It was first suspended for darkness on Tuesday
- At 6 hours 34 minutes, it broke the world record
- It stole headlines from the FIFA World Cup
- The scoreboard crashed at 47-47 in the fifth set
- It was suspended again at 59-59 on Wednesday
- Andy Roddick got Isner and his staff three pizzas
- IBM spent the night fixing the scoreboard system
- Both Isner and Mahut slept three hours that night
- Mahut served to stay in the match a cool 64 times
- Both players hit 100+ aces (Isner 113, Mahut 103)
- Both players spent 16,000 calories in three days
- Isner won 70-68 in 11 hours 5 minutes on Thursday
- 85 matches had been completed in the meantime
- Mohamed Lahyani never took a bathroom break
- A ceremony was held on court to honour them
- Mahut blacked out and showered fully clothed
- He then returned to Court 18 later for doubles
- His match was suspended for darkness, again
- Isner failed to serve a single ace in the next round
- It's the only match ever where Isner served 0 aces
- A plaque is commemorating the match at Court 18
- Memorabilia is on display at the Tennis Hall of Fame

End of an era for these perpetual FRNs they were issued by Barclays (and others) when I started my career ! Issued at very low credit spreads and perpetual - there must have been 20 market makers in these then. Fell below 40 in 2008 - now redeemed at 100 !
