@presidentaz Ilham Aliyev tells BBC the time for compromise over #NagornoKarabakh is running out, calls fears of ethnic cleansing of #Armenian civilians “groundless” and claims shelling of civilian areas in Stepanakert witnessed by #BBC is “fake news”
Currently, the election still hangs in the balance. A handful of closely contested states could decide the outcome in the coming hours or days, as a large number of mail-in ballots cast amid the pandemic draw out the process https://t.co/6Yh8htXpG3 3/3
Election law experts say it’s doubtful courts would entertain a bid by Trump to stop the counting of ballots received before or on #ElectionDay, or that any dispute a court might handle would change the trajectory of the race in closely fought states https://t.co/Gz2aiidIkf 2/3
While President Trump has promised to ask the Supreme Court to weigh in on the presidential race, which is still too close to call, the nation's top judicial body may not be the final arbiter in this election https://t.co/2P7sLz6eXH 1/3
FM @ZMnatsakanyan at Committee of Ministers of @coe: "#Azerbaijan undertook a commitment to resolve the #NagornoKarabakh conflict by peaceful means while acceding to #CoE. AZ is now in breach of this commitment. The organization must address this violation." #ECHR70
To those diplomats & #HumanRights defenders who understand/share the current tragedies of #Artsakh/#Karabakh people at least humanly:
-Why do your human feelings & professional actions are in contrast?
-Why aren't human rights & peace prioritized?
-Why don't you visit Artsakh?
Our prayers are with the people of Austria. #NagornoKarabakh has been fighting against the Azerbaijani-Turkish terrorist tandem for over a month now. I share the grief of the people of Austria, wish patience to the families of the victims, and a speedy recovery to those wounded.
Azerbaijani forces continued to keep peaceful settlements under fire. During the day, military aviation was used in Martuni & the city of Shushi was shelled. In Shahumyan region, the enemy used missiles of MRL systems. There are no casualties.
