I always see people say it’s a good idea to take a break after your PhD and I would LOVE to. However, I can’t help but think this is a little bit of a privileged take. Who’s going to pay my rent when I’m on this break? Genuine question
@joannasakowska I was in a similar situation a couple of weeks ago and found that taking a day or two off really helped me concentrate when I came back. I know it's pretty simple advice but it helped me. Congrats with your paper and good luck with the applications!😁🤞
Enjoyed lecturing on radio detection of astrophysical sources this morning, which reminds me to repost the PhD advert to come join me and our rapidly expanding team in observational studies of relativistic jets:
Welcome to the dazzling edge of darkness!🤩

My third first-author paper was accepted today!! (https://t.co/2y6lwmQc0d). In this paper, we investigate the co-location of cosmic web nodes and galaxy groups in close proximity to galaxy clusters in simulations and mock observations. 🕸️🌌

My 2nd paper was accepted and put on arXiv yesterday: https://t.co/FOa9pfanvG
In this paper, we calculate the probability of being able to correctly allocate galaxies observationally to different cosmic web environments, using zoom-in hydro simulations 🕸️ 🌌
