@LakotaMan1 If Al Franken had to go, so should she. She is representing the people in that theater and treated them with contempt on so many levels. She is supporting fascism and yet can do whatever she wants? No.
@AdrianaaPerez This is unacceptable on so many levels, and the way in which consent is not taken seriously for either the patient or female doctors in a field that thrives on misogyny. Imagine a male MD being told to stop what they are doing and come. Interpret for a patient. Wouldn’t happen.
This is another unacceptable way in which patient consent is marginalized, not prioritized or taken seriously. And the way that misogyny thrives in medicine because women’s labor, MD or otherwise is not valued or respected.
Recently I told another doctor I couldn’t interpret for them b/c I’m not officially an interpreter & they told the pt I “didn’t want to help them.” I can’t shake the feeling of sadness & guilt since then.
Any tips for approaching this in the future?
New: For decades, patients warned Columbia about the behavior of obstetrician Robert Hadden. One even called 911 and had him arrested. Columbia let him keep working. https://t.co/Zl0h3a5HSQ
@LakotaMan1 This is seriously disgusting that someone would think this is admirable to post online for the world to see. Oh great you, you used your gun to kill a healthy, happy animal. Awesome.
@mhdksafa She is soooo amazing. A true model citizen who cares about other people. If only we could all do our part and be that, even if we can’t donate the way she can. #inspiring
@PattyMurray Another cool element of this bill: Provisions that would increase the representation of disabled people on the physician and nursing workforces
Another exclusive from me today: @PattyMurray and @TammyDuckworth are reintroducing a bill to help disabled people access reproductive health care. @AyannaPressley and @CoriBush are introducing companion legislation in the House
