This was written 13 years ago. It paints a very ugly picture and we either come to terms with it, or not.

Nigeria is bottoming out. A nation where the dream is to run away from it, or where the symbol of in country success is creating your own imprisonment (Guarded from point A to B in your amourd G wagon, with armed convoys following, like you are a prisoner, to ending your day behind high fences and layers of security, taking the names of visitors, like you are in prison. Of course, you gleefully cycle in Monaco once you are let out of prison occasionally.

This cannot be the trajectory of the next generation. God forbid!
