Let me summarize what the three goals of #assessment are
OF learning = Do learners meet the standard?
FOR learning = What are their strengths & weaknesses & what's the plan?
AS learning = How can the assessment be a learning experience?

A question for @Sierkovitz
All cards improve in the hands of top players, but which metrics determine which cards improve more than others?
Percentage changes from average WRs among other players? Correct the top WRs back to the average WRs? Something else? Thanks.
@DrEricGant Either people/institutions move out of the "publish or perish" mindset, or the government steps in and stop the publishers from monetizing public research.
Either way, the capitalistic education system and the lobbyists aren't going to sit around and let it happen.
It was our great pleasure to learn from the Transformation Team at the University of Glasgow.
It was really inspirational how they had set up diverse teams and taskforces to help teachers teach better, and ultimately students learn better.
ps. This was the Memorial Gates
A pleasure to host colleagues from @kkunews today and share our work as they set up their own Learning & Teaching transformation programme. A good excuse for us to go on the @glasgowunisrc historical tour, followed by a best practice workshop @DrAmandaSykes@WendyAnderson8
Goodbye #idfchp , goodbye #amee2023 , and auf Wiedersehen to dear friends and colleagues.
Got one last chance to enjoy the city of Glasgow before heading home. Here's hoping the air traffic control meltdown has been solved already.
After attending #ICFDHP at #amee2023 and attending a workshop on IEDA (Inclusivity, equality, diversity, and accessibility), this soap dispenser at the venue really irks me: it's annoying to use when I use two hands, but it's impossible to use for a one-handed person!
Looks good to me. The three layers are sensible in how they relate to practice and practical in how they indicate the assessment tools required.
Medical educators implicitly know that the some competencies are more "core" than others. This framework captures that nature well.
Excited to see our paper on layers of competence appear, with Natasha Slattery, Dick Cruess, Stan Hamstra @stanhamstra, Yvonne Steinert, Robert Sternszus @RSternszus

Don't use ChatGPT for scientific research. It generates fake citations to papers that don't even exist.
Instead, use System Pro — a AI-powered search engine designed for research.
Ask it a question and it'll give you a summary of relevant (published) papers with citations.
