@toeknee_grocery@DeanTTraining I think that’s pretty obvious- you just want to argue. It’s all good my man - if you choose to do a flat barbell press for the “biomechanic” advantages, do it! It’s not a bad exercise! I may choose something else because it’s better for me. Be Blessed!
I’ve been following @DeanTTraining for a few months now - excellent content. I have not done a barbell bench press in a few months, and I don’t miss it at all. This machine is the way!
@toeknee_grocery@DeanTTraining 😂 I don’t think in absolutes at all! My first reply to you said I don’t believe that a flat barbell bench press is a bad exercise. Do you, my man! For me and where I am at in my life and fitness journey, I find the above machine superior.
My three best follows right now (in no particular order):

Just out here trying to be the best husband, father, and version of myself that I can be - and I greatly appreciate their content and inspiration.
@toeknee_grocery@DeanTTraining OK - whatever my man. I think you know exactly what I mean by gains. I don’t claim to be a biomechanics expert like you - but I see a whole lot of really terrible form and injury risk at the gyms I attend regularly just to try and get the max weight up - to each his own.
@toeknee_grocery@DeanTTraining I respectfully disagree. I don’t think the standard bench press is a bad exercise, but I’ve seen better gains using this machine. The variability of grip/positioning and ability to take working sets to failure without risking injury/form has been an advantage for me personally.
@tyromper Perspective is powerful—and it’s one of the few things we truly get to choose. It isn’t always simple, but intentionally leaning toward a positive outlook can transform the way we experience life. It’s one area I have really tried to focus on lately.
“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”
Romans 5:3-4
“For the word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are.”
Hebrews 4:12
“I no longer count on my own goodness or my ability to obey God’s law, but I trust Christ to save me. For God’s way of making us right with Himself depends on faith.”
Philippians 3:9
"For anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his." Hebrews 4:10
This rest isn't about taking a break from good works. It’s about surrendering the need to control by trusting in the completeness of God’s work.
