I kinda like the idea of this being my final console generation. I think I’m going to tap out right around PS6 launch. I’m not a fan of what’s become of the console biz and I’ll never be a PC Gamer.
Instead I think I’d like to spend whatever amount of years I have left playing retro hidden gems & other obscurities found on past console generations.
Anyone else feel the same way?
I have a feeling there’s a lot of folks who do.

In 2000 - unless you were rich as fuck or at least middle class you didn’t have this shit.

The avg gamer at best had at least 1-4 games per year maybe one console easily or 2 because everybody house I went over had a Sega Genesis along with either a ps2 or a GameCube. Or it was a NES with a Xbox combo. Or SNES with a Dreamcast. Nobody had an abundance of a million. Tech devices and magizines at a whim.

I’m not saying this pic is not real. It’s real but it wasn’t common.

Hell I still remember playing through GBC Pokemon while GBA had emerald and I didn’t get to play emerald till DS Pokemon came out and vice versa with GTA I didn’t get to play San Andreas till it hit the bargain bin. It wasn’t till 2008-2009 I was able to have a bunch of systems and games because the 4th / 5th / 6th gen was Pennie’s to the dollar (at that time) before the scalping we have today. I still remember Xbox 360 era I was able to scoop
Up a NES snes N64 ps1 and PS2 for PENNIES.

TLDR - only rich people lives this life. The whole hoarding electronics for the avg joe didn’t happen till 2009-2011
