Once again we ask:
Why has the UK STILL NOT designated the IRGC as a terrorist organisation? It was embarrassing before, it’s off the scale now. Great article by @potkazar https://t.co/quRRGykrfO
Iran executed a protester from the January 2026 uprising on accusations of killing a police officer, judiciary-linked Mizan News reported on Wednesday.
Mizan identified him as Fathollah Avari and said his death sentence had been carried out.
The judiciary had accused Avari of killing a law enforcement officer during the protests.
Details about the date of his arrest and the proceedings in his case were not immediately available.

Video from January 2026
As soon as the internet returned in Iran, new footage from the January uprising also came out.
You were bombarded by pro-regime propaganda for three months while these voices were completely censored.
ℹ️ #Iran's internet connectivity has now been in a state of restoration for 24 hours. Service remains heavily filtered, with new restrictions on messaging and app stores compared to pre-January. Calls for a free and open internet transcend political divisions and should be heard.
⬇️ #Iran's internet blackout is now in its 86th day as the population remains in digital darkness after 2040 hours.
While access to the global internet remains largely cut during peace talks, select whitelisted users project a synthetic view of Iranian life to the outside world.
Norwegian government officials, you spineless, shameless hypocrites!
Your Deputy Foreign Minister is smiling and warmly shaking hands with the butcher Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic while innocent people are being hanged and executed every single day in Iran.
This is not just a betrayal of the Iranian people .it’s a disgusting, blood stained collaboration with a murderous regime. The blood of those executed is now on your hands too, you filthy enablers.
Eternal shame on these cowardly, virtue signaling accomplices of the executioners.
@akravik79@EspenBarthEide@NorwayMFA
The headlines today: “Norwegian Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Kravik visits Tehran for talks with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.”
@NorwayMFA & @akravik79 - what are you doing? This is not 1993 when you brokered the Oslo peace accords aiming for a two-state solution between Israelis and Palestinians. You have flown out to Iran and whatever your “diplomatic” intentions, have totally legitimised a terrorist regime.
The only thing that will bring peace to the region is for them to be gone for good.
Neither Norway 🇳🇴 account has tweeted about it so must know their actions can only be seen as dubious and disreputable.
Iranians are sharing this pic of your hands because any association with this illegitimate regime, who massacred tens of thousands of their own citizens, is actively holding back the peace process and allowing more executions rushed through away from the eyes of the world behind a 73 day internet blackout. Disgraceful.
🗓️ Today marks the 70th day of #Iran's internet blackout, with the incident now surpassing 1656 hours. Digital connectivity is vital in times of crisis, and limiting service harms those most in need - people with disabilities, students, small businesses and the general public.
⌛️ Metrics show the #Iran internet blackout has entered its 65th day after 1536 hours amid growing concern over human rights situation in the country.
While whitelisting and privileged access are in place for a select few the general public remain cut off from the outside world.

If the internet in Iran were cut by US or Israeli airstrikes, the media and the left would be talking about it every single day. But because the Islamic Republic is the one cutting it, no one says a word.
🗓️ Exactly two months ago on 28 February, #Iran was thrown into digital darkness as authorities cut off access to the global internet.
Metrics show the blackout is now entering its 60th day after 1416 hours despite regime efforts to introduce tiered access for privileged groups.
Iran’s nursing organization said on Sunday it would not seek special internet access for its members until restrictions on international internet access were lifted for the public.
The organization said authorities had offered “Internet Pro” access to its members amid wartime restrictions.
The term is used by the Islamic Republic for tiered internet access granted to select groups, similar to so-called “white SIM cards” given to pro-government activists.
The decision came as tens of millions of Iranians have been cut off from the rest of the globe since US-Israeli strikes began on February 28. It has been described as the world’s longest state-imposed internet blackout to date.
