the thing I like about Baruch Spinoza is his take on the ever-changing presence of nature. He notices that it's not constant and changes based on its surroundings at the time. Also pretty cool that he challenged the status quo at the time #1102archsound
Do you think equity of sound was addressed anywhere in the Tuhoe LB? Specifically, were there any moments in Ever The Land that addressed equity? #1102archsound
so interesting to hear the sounds recorded in the "Ever The Land" movie. #1102archsound has really broadened my outlook on more than just visual learning.
its cool to hear how different kinds of weather can affect your soundscape. when its windy and nice outside, you hear more people laughing and enjoying the weather vs when its pouring and dark, people aren't as talkative. #1102archsound
@LexiWagner22 in my 1101 class, we did a podcast on ow the sound of the CRC at different times of the day changes. We did just that, recorded the same spot at different times of the day. It's interesting to hear how some sounds come up while different ones disappear just by the passage of time
Are you interested in learning about how a building can advance equity and social justice? Join us this Thursday for an open house on equity and GT’s new Living Building! #gtSLS#ServeLearnSustain
Walking back from Team workouts this morning, construction of the Living Building is in full effect. Immediately noticed the sound of constant drills hammering into the ground and bulldozers dumbing rock and dirt into dump trucks #1102archsound
@LexiWagner22 It's funny you mention this because once I was visiting family in Illinois and they all said that I had the funniest southern accent and I have never, not once, thought that I have ever had an accent and it made me somewhat self-reflective on what I sound like. #1102archsound
@DavariHeidi That's a very hard concept for me to grasp sometimes since I like to help anyone that I think could need help. It's very true though, personal growth sometimes is the most effective sort of growth. #1102archsound
I was walking past the baseball stadium yesterday on Ferst and the road kinda loops around the stadium so it was cool to hear the sound bouncing off the walls and the buildings surrounding the stadium. The changed as I walked around the stadium. #1102archsound
@Halcyon_L I learned that equity is such a hard topic to adress. Its easy to adress major issues relating to equity, but almost impossible to adress every instance of inequality. I hope the KBISD helps to catalyze some sort of forward direction towards equity for all. #1102archsound
I love the ways the podcast series "Ways of Hearing" utilizes sounds inside of the podcast. From the simple intro, to the integrated recordings, interviews, etc.#1102archsound
