This is serious case. @jyotirmathah is not on the lineage of Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj (treasurer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust). Then how in this world can Swami Govind Dev Giri claim Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Avimuketeshwarand Maharaj is not a Shankaracharya.

Swami Govind Dev Giri argues that a true Shankaracharya should be apolitical. He claims Avimukteshwaranand is acting like a "political stooge" (specifically for the Congress party) by constantly criticising Prime Minister Modi, which Giri says invalidates his spiritual authority.

Is Swami Govind Dev Giri forgetting the fact that swami was initiated into sanyas by Jagadguru Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati of the @KanchiMatham, whose whole life is filled with figting unjust political powers?

Even Jagadguru Shankaracharya Vidyaranya Swami is said to be called as Karnataka Simhasana prathishtapanarcharya of @sringerimath, where the Mahasannidanam Jagadguru Shankaracharya Bharati Theertha Mahaswamigal himself had initiated Swami Avimukteshwar Saraswati as Shankaracharaya of @jyotirmathah.

Requesting both @kanchimatham and @sringerimath to resolve this issue as soon as possible. This is indeed the worst case scenario. @KanchiMatham indeed held Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Maharaja in a very high regards who themselves actively fought for the nation's freedom and willingly went to jail during the independence movement.

Shankaracharya position is indeed apolitical. However, citing Peetathipathi as political 'stooge' has exceeded all sorts of limits. This is really painful.
