I just remembered the first time I realized it was possible to go abroad without a scholarship.
It was this lady, we worked at Rafiki Micro-Finance bank, she must’ve been making 65k or so (I was making 30k😭). Lived with her parents…saved EVERY coin, for about 3/4 years…
THE SHYLOCK NEXT DOOR
You would never let someone use your ID to borrow money from a Shylock, then expect you to repay the loan. You would call it THEFT.
So why are we so quiet when it happens to our country?
Kenya’s public debt now stands at about KSh 12.8 trillion. This year, about 91 percent of the taxes we collect will go to paying debt, not improving hospitals, schools, roads, or supporting counties.
We feel it every day through higher taxes, delayed county funding, delayed and reduced capitation, struggling public services, and fewer development projects.
Debt is not the problem. Debt without clear results is.
Every Kenyan is paying for these loans. Every Kenyan has the right to ask one simple question.
What did we borrow all this money for?
Your name is on the bill. Your voice should be part of the conversation.

When Mumias Sugar collapsed, the towns around it (Shibale, Mayoni, Mumias) all collapsed.
People lost direct and indirect jobs that stemmed from the factory.
You should see the hopelessness and abject poverty that have engulfed the people who depended on the factory.
It is a sorry state around there.
They now roast maize, smuggle molasses, and sell river sand to keep their dreams alive.
Schools around there, which were the leading schools in Kenya (Booker, Complex and Central), are now struggling to keep up.
Business premises in those towns have been deserted and are rotting away. If you have travelled along Mumias - Bungoma road, you have seen the decay in those towns.
He who opposes the establishment of an industrial complex under the pretext of climate is an enemy and should be condemned.
Kenya's Noah Ngeny set the 1000m world record of 2:11.96 back in 1999.
It stood for 27 years...
Until fellow Kenyan Emmanuel Wanyonyi broke it on his very first attempt 🤯🇰🇪
Taxi Driver: "Funny."
Me: "What?"
Taxi Driver: "You're my third passenger today."
Me: "Okay..."
Taxi Driver: "All three of you gave me the exact same destination."
The Ghost of War Memorial will forever haunt Governor Susan Kihika and rightfully so!
We will never forget how during her reign she made it so that one of the most effective hospitals in Nakuru county closed down indefinitely whilst she mismanaged health sector in Nakuru County!
Thank you Sen Sifuna for holding her accountable in Senate Today!

Morara, while we appreciate you bringing this information to the public, Kenyans must also be very careful with people like you!!!
You built your entire brand on accountability, integrity and exposing questionable acquisition of public resources. You convinced Kenyans that your principles were non negotiable.
Yet the first political home you chose was Jubilee??? A party whose time in government left countless unanswered questions around public land, procurement, mega corruption scandals, politically connected wealth and abuse of public office. Many of the same political figures who presided over that era remain within that political establishment.
So what exactly changed? Your principles or your political address?
If you’re asking Kenyans to scrutinize Kasongo and those around him, and rightly so, then you must also be prepared to apply that exact same standard to the people you’ve chosen to stand with. Accountability doesn’t become optional because you’ve changed political camps. Tell us, hio shamba yote walitoa wapi!!
This is why Kenyans should stop worshipping political personalities. Today someone is exposing one side, tomorrow they’re comfortably seated with another side that carries its own baggage of unresolved questions.
The moment your standards change depending on who you’re standing next to, you’re no longer fighting for accountability, you’re simply participating in selective outrage🚶🏿♀️🚶🏿♀️
Davis Lichuma was armed with a copy of the Constitution and a Kenyan flag. Nothing else. No weapons. Just knowing his rights and speaking about those rights and see what happened. Tortured and dumped at KNH.
We MUST to be intentional about fixing Kenya. Very intentional.
