@YT_OnDeck Who do you think Jo Adell is? He had one insane month last year and it made you forget he’s a 90 OPS+ bat for the rest of his career. Thinking we’d get Spencer Jones was insane.
@WeathersWins You are not. We had an insane June last year and it somehow made everyone forget who he’s been for the other 95% of his career. He’s definitely improved on defense, but he is not a good hitter.
@cdjeffery20@chadej75@Evan_P_Grant Idk how good Wynns is behind the plate but O’Hoppe is genuinely the worst defender in all of baseball, not even just among catchers. I promise you don’t want him back there.
@BaseballWRLD_ So overrated. Gets put into Bobby Witt Jr tier of players every offseason because he goes ballistic for a month and everyone forgets he’s a .720 OPS glove first outfielder for a majority of the season. His prospect pedigree and rookie year OPS do so much heavy lifting for him.
@SicEm_BU@313sports8176@hndrxx_34 While you’re ignoring Trout’s 50 stolen bases, higher OBP, and his valuable defense at a premium position. Trout and Miggy were comparable as hitters while Trout blew Miggy out of the water in defense and base running.
@Matt_Blunk10@hndrxx_34 Because he hit 3rd with prime prince fielder protecting him. Trout was hitting leadoff, of course he’s not going to get the same RBIs when he had to drive in the 8/9 hitters. That didn’t make him a less valuable player. Trout more than made it up by getting on base, stealing, etc
@Matt_Blunk10@hndrxx_34 Because it’s almost entirely context dependent. The corpse of Albert Pujols was able to rack up RBIs on the angels because he was hitting behind prime Mike Trout for the entirety of his tenure. Did that make him a more clutch, valuable player?
