We just wrapped up an absolutely wonderful stay at Penan Krabi Resort, and it’s easily one of the highlights of our Thailand trip. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and genuine care from the team made this place feel like home.
Sun from the recreational team was an absolute joy every single day. This guy is pure sunshine, always bright, smiling, and full of positive energy. He went out of his way to make great recommendations, helped us plan activities, and was just incredibly helpful with anything we needed. His happy spirit really set the tone for our whole stay.
And then there’s Best, the most radiant and happy bartender we’ve ever met. This man lights up the entire pool bar with his smile and personality. Both Sun and Best remembered our names from the very first day all the way to our last, which made every interaction feel so personal and special.
The resort itself is stunning, but it’s the people like Sun and Best who turn a beautiful property into an unforgettable experience. Thank you both from the bottom of our hearts for making our stay so joyful and memorable.

Stopped into Kona’s, @pacificcocktail , at SFO today after every lounge had waitlists over an hour and a half long. Needed a quick drink and a place to sit, and Kona’s delivered exactly what we needed.
The service was solid and friendly, drinks came out nice and cold, and the bartender was efficient even though the place was busy. Nothing truly exceptional or mind-blowing, but it was reliable, clean, and got the job done well when we needed it most. Perfect spot to kill some time before a flight.
Appreciate the good, no-frills service that made our layover much more comfortable.
Worst flight I’ve ever taken in my life! United Airlines from Bangkok to San Francisco.
The flight attendants were short, rude, and visibly impatient the entire flight. I felt like an absolute burden just existing. I had a terrible upset stomach from traveling in Thailand and desperately needed the restroom. When I politely asked, the attendant (Maureen) snapped at me: “I don’t care if you shit yourself, sit down until the seatbelt sign is off.”
Truly shocking lack of basic human decency on a 16+ hour flight. Never flying United long-haul again. Also my headrest screen didn’t work and they didn’t care.
