Belgium is increasingly visible and engaged in the conversations shaping Europe’s future and its transatlantic relationships.

Belgium also holds a special place for me as it is my second nationality, which makes moments like this even more special.

Beyond the main sessions, the day unfolded across many national houses, including those of the US, Ukraine, Switzerland, Poland, as well as several corporate houses.

Scammers are increasingly targeting companies that hire full-remote workers, using the recruitment process as their entry point. With Agentic AI and multimodal Agentic AI systems, they can now automate large parts of real jobs, scale their operations, and quietly infiltrate more organizations than ever before.
During the session, we showed how a multimodal Agentic AI system looks and works, what each agent does, how deepfakes are generated, and how cybercriminals use corporate laptop farms to access company environments from anywhere in the world while appearing legitimate. We also did a live deepfake video demo on stage to show how realistic and accessible these techniques have become.

It’s amazing how a few minutes a day can turn into a 3000-day streak! Starting with Duolingo taught me a lot about the power of microhabits. When you pick something small and keep it consistent, it’s like laying the groundwork for so much more. This simple habit opened the door to others, and they’ve stacked up little by little.

If you’re looking to start your own microhabit journey, I highly recommend Atomic Habits by @JamesClear. It’s a great guide to building habits that stick, and I found so much inspiration in it.

AI is accelerating careers—but leaving the next generation in the dust.

At the ETLS Connect event in Amsterdam, Dr. @mattbeane dive with @RealGeneKim into a growing issue: while AI and robotics are allowing senior professionals to take on more and more work, juniors are getting fewer chances to gain the hands-on experience they need.

For example, in surgery, robots now perform tasks that used to help new surgeons develop their skills. The result? A widening gap between seasoned experts and those just starting out.

As we look to the future, we need to rethink how we approach onboarding and skill-building. If we don’t adapt, we’ll end up with a workforce where the next generation struggles to catch up while experts retire. A combination of tech and mentorship might just be the key to bridging that gap.

It was a privilege to discuss "Deep Fakes: The Lies We Can’t See." While we saw earlier in the conference how AI is being used for good, my talk focused on the darker side—how bad actors exploit these tools for harmful purposes.

We explored the dangers of DeepFakes, demonstrated their real-world impact with a live demo, and discussed steps to protect against these threats.

Together with @mihai_roman, we presented to over 500 attendees, "Deep Fakes: The Lies We Can’t See." We explored the impact of DeepFake by showcasing real-life examples where scammers are leveraging DeepFakes.

Our live demo illustrated how easy it is for scammers to generate high-quality deepfakes, and we explained how attendees can protect themselves against these new scams and attacks.
