@HarryStebbings Pretty sure all of these own their popularity to the US, and their #1 country by revenue is likely the US as well. Also Lovable set up a company in Delaware as soon as they needed funds.
@niccruzpatane I genuinely struggle to understand how this can be considered even remotely funny. Like, how is this what you think of doing with friends to enjoy life?
@T__Waters@Barney_H_Y@dhh Every single country in the EU gets hot at least some time of the year, and most get very hot most of the summer. AC is definitely needed, hence why it's in all hospitals and good new buildings.
@Barney_H_Y@dhh That's simply not true. They convinced people they're too poor to operate a 50-100β¬ per month machine in summer for 3 months, but they're totally fine paying thousands for heating in winter.
@andreasklinger First mover advantage means nothing if we decide to be an open air museum now. Europe has everything it needs to start growing again, but we can't do it with anti-growth mentality and hostile environments for companies that create jobs.
@eeldenden Give European companies a fighting chance and you'll have real alternatives in the EU. If the EU continues to hate technology and create hostile environments for companies, there's no chance we'll have a reasonable alternative here.
@justalexoki It's an easy excuse politicians can use to explain how their countries are lagging behind, and the quality of life is deteriorating after decades of improvements.
@QuantumDom@thealepalombo Italy might be improving, but don't be fooled by random articles. It's an incredibly inefficient country. I miss my friends, but I'd never go back until something major changes. A slight increase in GDP per capita in 1 city is not a major change.
@dataslag@FearedBuck Because it's a hat, it has 0 value to the millionaire or his kid (he can pay that player to have it), it has a lot of value to the kid. Depriving a kid of a valuable thing that's meaningless to you is just weird. Not illegal, not the worst thing in the world, but just... don't.
@vasalex93@Javiervillagdo@svpino Find me a Windows laptop with outstanding speakers, lightweight, good webcam, awesome microphone, amazing display, very powerful processor, great keyboard, great trackpad, great backlighting, great battery, and a powerful enough GPU to compete with M4's internal one for 1.6k.
@visegrad24 The only acceptable army is a volunteer army. Conscription is a disgusting, immoral, and anti-democratic system that should not exist in any Western country that claims to be free. Citizens are not meat for the grinder.
@itsolelehmann I remember when seeing seriously intoxicated people around was a very rare sight in Europe. Miss those days. I seriously cannot comprehend how someone can enjoy looking like a fool unable to think or move properly in public. I hardly understand it in private, but in public?
@itsolelehmann@Porkchop_EXP@peteralexbizjak When I visited Frankfurt, I found it hard to believe that was the EU, and a high-tax country too. The city centre of that city is absolutely disgusting. No other way to describe it.
@m9tdev@levelsio@TimurNegru@saxobank If you sell, you need to pay CGT on all the profits. It can be way more expensive than the transfer for him, assuming he has a lot invested.
@levelsio@TimurNegru@saxobank Yeah but it takes forever. DEGIRO and Revolut are good enough for me. I might transfer to IBKR in the future but it takes months to do the entire process.
