@Duncan36040548 Detroit has actually been talked about in every class. If it such a good example for bad design why hasn't anything been done? I know we have watched videos on people who try to change things but it never takes off.

I think one thing that most people don't realize is how important the context of the city is to the design. A design has to work with its context or it will not be used properly #architecturalhistory

@JackLeibham I think people would support this. The quote sounds like its happened previous years. The city was going to burn them down anyways they might as well let the community know. I am not sure if I agree with what they are doing or not though.

@georgiacarch329 I believe they both should be blamed. The demand for workers from big corporations caused the influx of people moving to cities and the planners designed the areas for them to live.

@mote_tanner I believe there is still space even in dense urban areas for landscape urbanists to create spaces. I think it is recently being brought up more because of the knowledge of how important landscapes are to urban areas.
