The Iranian people are not the regime.

But the moment civilians get targeted, that line disappears, and suddenly the regime has a reason to claim it’s defending the country.

People who oppose the regime will still back off when their country is attacked. That’s just reality.

I’m against the Islamic Republic. I’m also against actions that actually make it stronger.

Hitting civilian infrastructure in Iran would do exactly that. It gives the regime legitimacy, unites people behind it, and escalates the region.

If the goal is to weaken the regime, this is the wrong move.

In detention they were brutally tortured and repeatedly raped.
