‘27 is THE year of the 315 bench, 405 squat, and 495 deadlift.
I said it last year but some big losses hit home: dad died of cancer, grandma died from staff infection post-car accident.
Also had to find a new job since my previous employer closed up shop.
Time to smash goals.
@majeikstagram Front squats help immensely for that. I was adding three working sets per week of front squats while still making back squat my main lift and they certainly helped. At one point I did an entire front squat cycle. May have been the Hatch cycle…was brutal! LOL.
@Jainadave_ A desire to reinvent myself. I let myself go and was on a path of unhealthy eating and a lack of strength. Stronger now that I have ever been. Pretty awesome
Being in your 40s doesn't mean you have to be weak.
I started lifting at 42 and built plenty of muscle and strength.
Now I'm working toward 315 bench.
It’s all about consistency and discipline in the gym and the kitchen.
Don't let excuses stop you.
Your fitness goals change as you mature.
First: “I want to get lean.”
Then: “I want to look good.”
Eventually: “I want to be strong, mobile, athletic, energetic and capable.”
Because eventually, you stop training just to look fit and start training to live better.
That’s the real upgrade.
