I been doing research about the Chinese community in Australia for a place. I also found that they been here since at least 1818. Been enlightening subject in grim way. Such the Chinese Question from Newspapers around the gold rush period.

To my Aussie followers, did anyone knew that the dictation test came from NSW thanks to the Chinese Immigration Act of 1861 to the response to the Lambing Flat riots?

Lambing Flat riots were insane reading the newspaper from the time.
