The person who gave me my first jilbab now no longer covers at all, not even a cape.

She was the one who encouraged me to start wearing the hijab, was also the first person I saw wearing the niqab and I really liked it.

It saddens me to know that today, that same person no longer wears the hijab or covers her head.

I'm not saying this to mock or judge her. Rather, I'm sharing it as a reminder to everyone reading this.

At every point in our lives, we need to keep begging Allah to make obedience easy for us and, most importantly, to grant us a good ending.

No matter how righteous or steadfast a person may appear today, none of us knows how our story will end. Only the person who has died has reached the end of their journey.

Even one moment before the end, things can change.

So, don't become too confident in your present state and start feeling proud that you are better than others. No matter how much goodness you think you have attained, keep asking Allah to keep you firm and make obedience easy for you until the very last day you leave this earth.

May Allah grant us all a beautiful ending and keep us steadfast until we meet Him. Ameen.
