Congress needs to investigate why friends of Putin paid for Don Junior's wedding.
And why does the son of a billionaire need someone else to pay for his wedding?
Your Thoughts?
JD Vance: If you steal money from the American taxpayer, we are going to prosecute you. When they write the check to the irs, that money is going to go where the law says it should go & not to fraudsters.
(What about the people in The White House?)
Im absolutely STUNNED by how beautiful Trump’s White House Ballrooms going to be. And it’s a GIFT
Every American should be THANKING Trump
Absolutely stunning ❤️
Garcia: So, to be clear, we have a president that is $2 billion richer just from this last year. We have a son whose wedding is being paid for by rich Russians and oligarchs that have connections to Putin. We have Jared Kushner, who got $2 billion for his investment firm from the Saudis while also doing diplomacy in the Middle East.
We have the Kushners who are trying to buy private islands and selling all sorts of merchandise that’s being promoted, oftentimes through government resources. We also have, of course, this insane amount of stock trading that the president himself is doing to enrich himself and his family.
And, of course, the sons sitting on boards of private companies that are then getting contracts from the federal government. The amount of corruption is unprecedented. And not only are they lining their pockets, they’re stealing the wealth of hardworking Americans, they’re stealing the hard-earned labor and wealth of working-class people, and then funneling that money to themselves and to the rich donors and large corporations and CEOs across this country.
As they get richer, costs go up for the American people. And we know that Republicans in the House and in the Senate are complicit by not calling out this corruption.
A white police officer stopped a young Black man’s car on a quiet street near the university and found his driving license had expired.
“Why are you driving with an expired license?” the officer asked.
The young man answered quietly: “They just fired me from my night job. The money I have left is only enough to eat, pay rent, and cover my bills. I’m from another state. I came here alone to study at university. And I have a job interview this morning.”
The officer could have applied the law and stopped him from driving. Instead he listened to his heart. He parked his police car, gently helped the young man straighten his tie, got into the passenger seat, and drove with him to the interview.
They walked in together. The officer apologized for the delay and explained the reason. They took a selfie together and wished him the best.
The young men got the job and later received a temporary driving permit until he could save enough to renew his license properly.
That’s humanity.
"We should all want to live in a society where everyone feels safe, everyone feels like they have the opportunity to thrive." Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback @Kaepernick7 reflects on taking a knee during the national anthem and discusses the response to his act of protest in his new memoir, 'The Perilous Fight.'
Broad daylight. In public. An adulterous, married president kissing and embracing another woman. It’s shameless, degrading, profoundly unpresidential and a slap in the face for the office. The hypocrisy is staggering. The presidency deserves dignity—and America deserves better.
