#mahabharata is something we all cherish and love. It's a treasure trove of deep knowledge and thinking which our ancestors passed down to us from generations to generations.
I was taught about it by my mom and ever since I am reading and collecting books on Mahabharata.
Understanding the Inner World of Scorpio Ascendant
Scorpio ascendant has an unusual capacity to endure pain, preserve secrets, remain loyal, and carry emotional burdens for long periods.
This strength can become harmful when the person continues protecting something after the need for protection has ended.
Six tendencies may then begin to strengthen one another.
The first is suspicion. The person remains alert to betrayal, hidden motives, and possible danger.
The second is remembering every injury. Past betrayals, insults, sacrifices, and disappointments are not easily forgotten. These memories then appear to justify continued suspicion.
The third is emotional concealment. The person does not openly express pain, fear, resentment, or vulnerability. Silence is seen as a form of protection.
The fourth is constant defensiveness. Because so much remains unspoken, the person continues to behave as though another injury may occur at any moment.
The fifth is all-or-nothing thinking. A person is either trusted completely or not trusted at all. A relationship is either loyal or treacherous. Forgiveness is either total or impossible.
The sixth is the inability to release what is no longer useful. A secret, grievance, promise, duty, or emotional burden may be carried long after its original purpose has ended.
These tendencies form a chain.
Suspicion keeps old injuries alive. Old injuries justify silence. Silence increases emotional distance. Emotional distance strengthens defensiveness. Defensiveness produces all-or-nothing judgments. These judgments make gradual release difficult.
This is why advice such as "trust more," "forgive," "open up," or "stop thinking about the past" often fails. Each of these addresses only one part of the problem.
The deeper question is:
What are you still carrying that no longer serves the purpose for which you began carrying it?
A person may have kept a secret to protect someone. They may have remained silent to preserve a family. They may have held resentment to prevent another betrayal. They may have continued a duty out of loyalty.
The original reason may have been valid. The difficulty begins when the situation changes but the burden remains.
Release does not always require complete disclosure, complete forgiveness, or complete trust.
One truth may be spoken without revealing everything.
One grievance may be released without restoring the relationship.
One responsibility may be reconsidered without denying the love from which it arose.
Once any part of the burden is examined honestly, the whole chain begins to weaken.
A woman has guarded her sister’s secret for eleven years. She remained silent because speaking might have harmed her sister and disturbed the family.
At her sister’s funeral, she understands that the secret now protects no one. Her sister is gone. The danger has passed. The silence continues only because she has become accustomed to carrying it.
That evening, she tells her husband everything.
The past does not change. The burden does.
For the first time in years, she sleeps through the night.
This is the mature expression of Scorpio Lagna. Its strength does not lie only in its ability to endure. It also lies in recognising when endurance is no longer necessary.
Protection has value only while something still needs to be protected. After that, the same protection becomes imprisonment.
Weak Ketu tempts you to just throw your hands up and quit. It makes you want to stop trying and simply check out of life when things get hard. Instead of facing your problems, this energy pushes you to run away from the world and abandon your duties without stopping to think about what you are leaving behind.
Give words to your pain, and it begins to lighten.
Find someone you can speak to.
If there is no one, write it all down.
The power of putting pain into words cannot be overstated.
Research on expressive writing suggests that writing about difficult experiences for even fifteen minutes a day, over a few days, can improve mood and produce measurable changes in some immune markers.
Even naming an emotion can reduce amygdala activity.
I routinely suggest writing to clients struggling with depression and anxiety.
The page has one advantage over spoken conversation: it never interrupts.
Writing also forces pain into words, sentences, grammar, and structure. The moment you begin giving form to your thoughts and emotions, you create some distance from the raw experience.
And, slowly but certainly, the pain reduces in intensity and becomes easy to live with.

In someone’s life, rising from a wheelchair and walking again is also Raj-yog. Recovering from cancer can be Raj-yog. Winning custody of your child after years of matrimonial dispute can be Raj-yog.
Think about it — a child born into a family so humble that even two square meals a day were a struggle, who grows up to become a bank officer. That is also Raj-yog. A rickshaw puller who receives a pucca house and a government job — for him, that is Raj-yog.
Raj-yog isn’t reserved for kings and crowns alone. It reveals itself wherever life lifts a person from struggle to dignity, from suffering to hope.
This chart is more instructive than all the 2031–32 charts circulating on social media.
Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, yet badly combust and accelerated, with its benefic quality largely spent. It stands in partile opposition to retrograde Pluto and partile trine to retrograde Neptune, delivering both influences to the degree. In operative terms, it must be read as highly malefic.
Saturn occupies Meena, Jupiter’s own rāśi, and receives Jupiter’s ninth aspect. This would ordinarily constitute a supportive sambandha. Its result is governed by the stronger graha. Jupiter is hollow; Saturn is strong and requires no support. The sambandha therefore operates under Saturn’s command.
The Pluto opposition indicates confrontation with entrenched power, debt, and accumulated structural pressure. The Neptune trine provides a softer channel through which liquidity, confidence, and institutional coherence gradually dissolve. The retrogression of both planets celebrate the dissolution. Saturn regulates both.
Saturn also holds Mars and Uranus in a complete chokehold, with its third aspect falling partile upon Mars.
Structures will begin to crumble gradually. The spectacle of repeated fireworks will give way to one major failure at a time: infrastructure, financial networks, supply systems, and the institutional plumbing holding globalisation together.

The day began with an uninformed post on whether the Sūrya Siddhānta is sidereal. I quote posted a response.
Most objections were careless; one came from an astrologer I deeply respect and raised a real textual point.
This article is my full response.

THE ALCHEMY
With respect to sign VIRGO (कन्या राशि) a beautiful alchemy is taking its shape.
Four slow moving planets are stationed at kona and kendra of the lagna Virgo. While fifth one makes a strong sambandha.
(Refer to the picture below)
Understand virgo here, it’s a sign where lagnesh Budh exalts in lagna itself. A sign where Very Intelligent/sharp/good speakers are born. Ability to discriminate just like Kushapatra - Kusha leaf . Sign signifies studious and economising habbit which is achieved by extremely well planned daily routines, regularised sleep patterns and discipline.
A Skill-full sign with excellent wit . Budh gives them ability to discriminate truth from false hood with the help of logic. A earthy sign which is dualistic in nature. Which means constant arrangement of stability and structuring with a pattern of reoccurrence, even if they are coming from the Itihasa.
What is the context ?
It is rare where very slow moving planet make sambandha with lesser slow moving planets like jupiter and Saturn. At the same time nodes are also transiting from signs owned by larger planets. Larger and slowing planets together break long stagnant patterns and form again longer new ones. ( there much more to it).
Why, virgo as lagna ? While transit is happening for other signs too. Will address this some other day.

Meṣa (Aries) - fire moving. the running spark, wildfire front.
Vṛṣabha (Taurus) - earth holding. bedrock, the moist field.
Mithuna (Gemini) - air alternating. crosswinds, the gusting pair.
And so on. Understanding Tattvas well opens astrology up unlike any other method.
There is no rule in the universe that people will play fair, or sane.
They will act strange, suddenly go cold, over-react.
The beautiful thing about life is that we can handle it all.
What people do is their prerogative. How we let it affect us is our decision.
Don't let your mind catastrophise a situation and make it look much more sinister than it actually is.
Work on the inner narrative.
Having this frame of mind is an excellent remedy simultaneously for Mercury, Moon, and Saturn.
Try it!
As i am slowly jotting down everything my teacher taught us in class day by day in our astrology class “Lagna Vivek”, i realise the real joy is in the process of learning.
I feel blessed. It is something i will cherish for rest of my life.
