Why raise our voices about #Nigeria?
As my father, #MLK, said, “we are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny.”
Everyone from every nation should be free from police brutality.
Do what’s just, @MBuhari.

The United States strongly condemns incidents of military forces firing on unarmed protestors in Lagos. Those involved should be held to account under the law. We extend our condolences to the victims of the violence and their families. #EndSARS
After my short statement about Nigeria already last week I’m now even more shocked about how the situation there has got more and more out of control.💔🇳🇬 This saddens me so much. This has absolutely nothing to do with democracy.
I am deeply concerned over reports of violence in Lagos and urge the Nigerian government to engage in peaceful dialogue with the #EndSARS protestors for police reform and an end to corruption.
I condemn the escalation of violence in Lagos, Nigeria, which has resulted in multiple deaths & injuries.
I call for demonstrations to be peaceful and for an end to reported police brutality & abuses. Authorities must investigate these incidents & hold perpetrators accountable.
