Happy International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies 2026!

NEMA has joined the rest of the world to commemorate The 5th International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies.

The event included commissioning of a Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring System stationed at the Authority’s headquarters, NEMA House on Jinja Road - Kampala.

The equipment has been installed by Eco and Partner Consult Ltd with capabilities to measure in real time Air quality, Noise and Vibration, wind speed and direction, NOx, SOx, CO2, Ozone emissions and more to improve environment monitoring and management.

The 5th International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies, is being celebrated under the theme "Clean Air for Climate Action” as declared by the United Nations General Assembly to create awareness on the significance of a clean environment.
