Our lineup for the @world_food_forum Flagship Event 2025 is here! 🚀
From youth-led agroecology to COP30 consultations, and indigenous food systems, CAFS Africa will be engaging in multiple side events at the @world_food_forum happening October 14–17, 2025, at @fao Headquarters,
We had an engaging conversation with Community Action for Food Security (CAFS Africa) on advancing education through agriculture and agriculture through education. 🌱📘
The dialogue opened doors for possible collaboration and synergy that can strengthen learning opportunities while boosting food security.
#Collaboration
Yesterday, Dataphyte hosted members of the youth wing of the National Food Systems Task Team, including @AzeezSalawu, Founder and CEO of @cafsng and Oluwatosin Ogunsola from the @IFDCGlobal
The team shared insights into their ongoing efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s food systems, with a strong focus on youth inclusion and strategic stakeholder engagement.
During the visit, they presented findings from their newly launched report, “Youth Mapping for Food Systems Transformation in Nigeria,” which explores the role of young people in Nigeria’s food systems value chain highlighting the nature of their enterprises and the challenges they encounter.
With over 6,000 data collected so far, the project is helping build a comprehensive understanding of challenges and opportunities in the food system sector.
The team expressed interest in working closely with Dataphyte Nigeria to deepen insights from the youth database, expand the data collection to cover more youth groups in the sector, and co-develop a robust knowledge management system, that provides more insights into the context of Nigeria’s food ecosystem.
We look forward to collaborating with CAFS and the wider National Food Systems Task Team to build evidence, elevate community voices, and strengthen Nigeria's food systems.

Mokwa Flooding: HEDA Stands in Solidarity with Flood Victims
In the wake of the devastating floods in Mokwa, Niger State (@GovNigerNG) we extended a gesture of solidarity to the people and government. We sent a condolence letter to Governor Umaru Bago (@HonBago), sharing the outcomes of our on-ground visit and commiserating with those affected.
As the communities begin to rebuild, we urge continued government support for recovery efforts and sustainable development initiatives that will bolster resilience against future disasters. Together, we can make a difference.
