Half a thousand people were kidnapped in Niger state, and none of our local media carried the news. It's sad how APC captured the media houses of this country.
The women couldn’t afford to quit after she was attacked, so she spent 2 more years on that ship until she had to take leave to heal from the trauma — UNPAID LEAVE.
Her rapist was put on leave — PAID LEAVE.
Sick of the fucking world we live in rn.
Almost 15 countries condemned the attack in Niger State in which dozens were killed. But many Nigerians are unaware that such an attack happened because the media refused to report it.
We’re in a serious crisis under this government!
Good morning everyone on @twitter
I have been battling cancer for awhile now and please I need your support
We have been looking for what we is called an integrative oncology hospital
Because nhs has always been promising only to control the cancer (1/5)
"How is this different from what pimps do?"
First of all, pimps are individuals who control, manage, and profit from the work of sex workers. They operate within the commercial sex industry, frequently relying on coercion, manipulation, and physical or psychological abuse to control their victims.
This is totally different from matchmaking within the context in his tweet - connecting single men with mentored ladies, NOT FOR PROSTITUTION, but for MARRIAGE.
It is fair if the issue is the pricing, but it is even fairer to not close our eyes to the fact that the mentorship services rendered to the ladies and other incidental costs (e.g vetting, operational costs, software overhead and etcetera) must be cleared when running a system like this.
I understand that some people perpetrate a lot of evil and cover it with the cloke of "MOG", but I don't think deliberately painting a skewed picture of what someone is doing because he is a "man of God" is appropriate.
We've seen this over and over again here. A pastor starts a podcast, we shout; an apostle opens a business/school, we complain. Some people have even raised dust on the idea of having ticketed gospel concerts.
What exactly do we want?
These flash flood clips are absolutely terrifying because there’s no outrunning that, human life is extremely fragile and natural disasters always humble me. May all of their souls rest peacefully.
Is David martins and his cohorts telling us that Flirting from another man equals Physical Abuse down to him hitting their child and being deadbeat??
Has everyone lost their fucking mind??
Hearing about Dolly Parton’s battle with endometriosis and thought again about these men who were saying on here that ailments like PCOS and endo are “new” didn’t affect women from our parents’ generation.
SMH.
Look at this little girl, Kamsi. Her mom used all the money she had made selling corn (₦120,000) to send her to Enugu from Imo for the 2-week technology bootcamp.
The good news is that someone has refunded her mom the ₦120,000 she invested in her daughter.
She is doing amazingly well in the training already.
She lost her only brother to a road accident, and her mom believes that education is their only way out.
She is exceptional, and the world will celebrate her greatness someday.
me, @_theboiiiiiii, and jesse went to genesis cinema in festac to watch spider-man (7:50pm-10:20pm), we were walking on our way back to the hotel we’re staying at, zito was on call, jesse stopped to urinate and the next thing we knew was people running.
In Nigeria:
1. Naira Marley was the NDLEA ambassador
2. VDM is speaking to lawyers.
3. States sponsor mass weddings, including minors.
Motherland is a joke.
We all saw how the gridlock on Benin road made the person transporting catfish lose all the fish because they’ve been stranded there for days now.
That’s a prime example of “You cannot outwork a failed country”.
As you’re trying your best, the country keeps pulling you back.
Nothing has cemented this #OlodoUprising like the invitation of that good-for-absolutely-nothing cretin called VDM to speak to the Largest bar in Africa. Shame on the NBA. A huge shame!!! Tueh!!!
Today is Day 102. Mussa and Lassa, pupils from Askira Uba, Borno State, were kidnapped and are still in captivity.
We need another solidarity post please.
This tone of pity you guys are using to talk about an alleged criminal possibly (and rightfully) facing the consequences of his crime is very disgusting. Even more so the way y’all keep hinting at the fact that you wish he’d kept his vile proclivities home-bound where he gets to get away scot free. Why should you want an alleged criminal to get away with crime? So perplexing. So much for being a country of “culture. “
This unhealthy practice among some Nigerian employers, where the interviewer keeps their camera off while insisting that the candidate turn theirs on, is so wrong.
It's disrespectful, creates an unnecessary power imbalance, and is a red flag for a potentially toxic workplace culture.
