Farewell to X: I'll keep my free account open but will no longer be posting to this platform. Instead, look for b0yle on Bluesky. I've been covering this guy's activities for more than 20 years but did Nazi this coming ... https://t.co/hu8HI2ivjF
Everybody, wave!
@fireflyspace’s Blue Ghost lunar lander caught Earth on video as the lander continued its journey to the Moon. Blue Ghost is expected to land on March 2, delivering 10 NASA science investigations to the Moon's surface.
We are excited to bring our lunar-G capability online. Thanks to NASA for the support. This is an entirely new way to bring lunar gravity to NASA and other lunar technology providers, accelerating their research and tech readiness at a much lower cost. Plus, we can adapt this New Shepard capability to closely mirror Mars and other solar system gravity environments in the future.
More than a decade in the making, a 2.5-billion-pixel Hubble image of the Andromeda galaxy could help astronomers figure out the tangled history of the galaxy next door. https://t.co/8f72oLNVPS H/T @AAS_Office@AAS_Press@uwnews#AAS245
I submitted my resignation last week…my 2 year term was already up 🤷♂️😅
I was honored to serve as co-chair of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition. My fellow council members - unpaid volunteers like me - were hardworking, talented people who inspired me every day. I’m proud of what we accomplished on behalf of the American people…like a historic partnership between the White House and every major sports league to increase access to sports and health programs for kids.
I hope @realdonaldtrump exercises his presidential authority so the Council can continue to advocate for fitness and good health for all Americans. These are bipartisan issues…nonpartisan issues.
May God give you the wisdom, Mr. President, to put politics and name calling aside…and instead lift up the everyday people working to bring America together. Let’s build longer tables….
The future we have been building for is here! Last night, Blue Origin's New Glenn successfully completed its maiden flight to orbit, a crucial step toward establishing reliable access to space. Today, SpaceX achieved a second booster catch during Starship flight 7, further refining their reusable launch vehicle technology. Gravitics is developing large modules that will leverage these heavy lift rockets and enable essential space innovations.
.@SpaceX catches Super Heavy booster but loses the Ship upper stage during today's #Starship test flight. The FAA says it diverted air traffic to dodge falling debris from Ship's breakup. https://t.co/J6uriJtQJR
The vehicle looks good for tonight’s window, but we’re watching weather closely as clouds build over the Space Coast. If we’re unable to launch, we’ll make an attempt on Friday, January 17, in the same 1-4 a.m. EST (0600-0900 UTC) window.
.@stoke_space raises $260M to complete the development of its fully reusable, medium-lift Nova rocket as well as its Florida launch complex, which is the place where John Glenn lifted off in 1962. Among the investors: Bill Gates' @Breakthrough Energy: https://t.co/78y7PzVgXs
UPDATE: @blueorigin reschedules the first orbital launch of its #NewGlenn rocket, and then re-reschedules it. Next launch window now opens at 1 a.m. ET Thursday. https://t.co/QlPD0Qyb3o
