Due to inclement weather conditions, the ADC Hall, Pension & Benefits Offices, as well as the Locals 1 & 18 Apprenticeship Training Centers, and the BAC Cares Clinic have closed for the rest of day today, Thursday, December 22.
The market is in a very volatile place lately, and if you're close to retirement, it might be making you uneasy.
This information from John Hancock is geared toward pre-retirees, but the message is good, and really translates to everyone.

We've spent a few weeks celebrating the top apprentices in our union. However, those apprentices are who they are because of the training they received from the most qualified instructors. This includes Otis Peebles Jr. who is in his 3rd year of ICP and a @DOLJobCorps instructor
Representing @IUBAC ADC of Eastern Missouri, Otis shared what ICP has taught him:
"My instructors have shown me how I can grow. We don't ever think of ourselves as needing improvement and ICP is teaching me to be self aware so that I can be the best for my apprentices"
"For union members what are the most effective ways of communicating? It was somebody in your union, talking to you face-to-face at a jobsite. That was far and away, more than telephones, anything else." - @CharlieCookDC of @CookPolitical
If there is anything to make someone want to be a masonry craftworker it would be this. In Boston MA for the @IUBAC@imiweb International Apprenticeship Contest IUBAC Convention. Learn the Crafts of A Lifetime...join BAC. Do your full apprenticeship, never be sorry you did.
Can we all agree that no one works harder than @IUBAC apprentices?
Our apprentices have been proudly representing their local unions since 7am and the contest has only just begun!
