How hard can an elite QB throw a baseball?
The elite arms of the NFL could throw just as hard as DeGrom & other strong-armed pitchers if they trained for the mound with lighter baseballs. It’d take 8-12 weeks for the body & arm to adapt from a 15oz football to a 5oz baseball.
@AndyMcKayHG Great point…just make sure you define what “failure” specially means to you. Be careful what game you’re playing…a finite/victory or infinite/fulfillment game.
When you compete at the highest level, you have to accept that your opponent is one of the best in the world and will beat you at times. Not every failure requires an adjustment. Having the courage and discipline to stick with who you are and what you do is often the best option.
@SLarkin04 Courage can only be demonstrated in the face of fear, w/o fear there is no courage. Courage allows confidence to emerge...Strengthen ur courage by working thru fear!
@AndyMcKayHG Don’t recall who said it...intent, intensity is necessary but insufficient by themselves, timing/sequencing critical to execution of skills.
I'm trying to think of the MLB comparison to Jordan's swagger. Everything he did looked so cool. The swag with the crazy hang time and creativity. Somebody help me out... is there even a comparison?
@AndyMcKayHG Embrace Fear...Fear is opportunity! Being present and aware of your physiological response to feeling fear is the 1st step towards courage...no courage w/o fear!
A visual description of what it’s like to try to compete with a deficient mindset. Negativity and fear-based thinking causes the mind to be a massive burden on the body and removes you from the present moment - which is where competition lives. Protect your mindset at all costs.
