@PittStGorillas@Gorilla_SFB@pittstate So let me get this straight. A coach with that high of a win loss record leaves the program, and we're told it's to pursue other interests. Then we hire an ex-baseball coach to run the softball program that is internal?Yeah something isn't adding up. Anybody see the job posted?🧐
Amazing how someone can turn a 15 second clip into a character evaluation.
I played for Coach Glasco both collegiately and professionally. I’d run through a wall for him all over again.
He cared about us.
He showed up for us as people.
Sure he taught me how to be a great hitter, but coaching is more than skills & strategy. It carries life lessons.
This is a man who was patient with me while recovering from an injury that kept me off the field. It wasn’t my best decision, but he understood.
This is a man who made sure I had somewhere to go for Thanksgiving while I recovered from knee surgery & couldn’t be with my family.
He coaches hard. Holds you accountable. But that’s what all great coaches do.
You can debate strategy all you want.
But questioning his character, our how much he cares about his athletes is a battle you will lose with anyone who’s actually played for him.
Camp was amazing at the Dan Mullen las vages mega camp @CoachDanMullen met some amazing coaches and I also want to thank my parents @burnettsoftball@BBURNETTCOACH For taking time out of there summer to bring me here
"When I was a junior high coach.."
Truly never know where a Gerry Glasco opening statement will go. This was a good one after Texas Tech beat UCLA in extras 8-7 to advance to WCWS semifinals.
Saying your daughter won in life after her TEAM lost in the College World Series because she got a load of cash highlights what's wrong with college sports today.
I cannot imagine being a college coach right now. Kids and parents can say whatever they want in an attempt to get coaches fired or in trouble, often with little to no consequences, while coaches are rarely allowed to publicly defend themselves.
As a former college coach, I’ve been in their shoes, and I genuinely feel for them.
I’m not saying every coach is right, and I’m not saying every player or parent is wrong. I’m simply saying there are always two sides to a story, and the internet usually only hears one of them.
I’m glad Karen’s name was cleared and that this situation brought attention to what is really happening in college sports today.
This is exactly why college coaches recruit character, family values, and parents just as much as they recruit athletic talent.
Congratulation to Jenny Isham, now Jenny Fuller, Lorena Class of 2005 on joining the Baylor softball program as an assistant coach.
After graduating from Lorena Isham played 2 seasons at McLennan CC and 2 seasons at Baylor.
Welcome home Coach!
You may not have a “Teacher of the Year” award hanging on your wall, but the handwritten notes from students, the drawings tucked in your desk drawer, and the little messages hanging around your classroom with smudges, misspelled words,
and hearts shaped more like potatoes are the trophies teachers treasure for a lifetime.
Those are the moments that remind you why you do this work.
Because in education, the things that matter most usually do not come with a plaque.
They come with fingerprints, crayons, messy handwriting, and heart.
.@BosquevilleAthl alum Raygan Barron (Feight) led Bosqueville to its first softball title back in 2007. This time, she hopes to win another as their head coach.
The former #Texas Longhorn will also have the chance to coach a title on her old college field! Complete full circle in her career! #HookEm #txhssb
Yeah this about sums up the strike zones in college softball this year. Megan Grant is in full avengers reboot mode preparing for a 3-2 count when she realizes he called it a ball. 😂💀

Filed to @D1Softball: Mike Larabee is retiring as FIU's head coach amidst his ongoing cancer battle.
"When you leave a program, the goal is always to leave it better than you found it, and I'm proud that our staff was able to accomplish that together."
